"We booked this hotel as a treat and it really was! We stayed in the Canistel suite with its own terrace and swimming pool. We spent the afternoon enjoying the sunshine on our private terrace, drinking the bottle of wine they’d left for us in the room. We ate in their restaurant and everything was delicious and homemade (gambas, padron peppers, croquettas, steak, fries…). We also had breakfast and it was like having your own buffet brought to your table (fruit, cheese, ham, omelette, yogurt, breads, cake, fresh juice…). The staff speak very limited English and with our broken Spanish, we still managed to get by. They were very friendly and efficient."

"Staff: first I want to mention Conny on reception and Gean Petro in the restaurant. We arrived quite late from our flight but they welcomed us and made sure we had a meal, also Conny wrote the names of all the cats down for me (there are cats!!). All the staff on reception we spoke to were kind and helpful. Restaurant staff were equally lovely. Room: was nice and well kept but the views of the mountains, the gardens, the pool area are what it's all about. Really beautiful place to relax. Food: breakfast buffet was small but excellent and the dinner in restaurant is amazing. With half board includes 3 courses from the menu and it's all good quality with lots of choice. One downside: the WiFi is bad. Conny tried to help but it just wouldn't work at all, so we ended up using mobile data the whole time. Cats: if you like cats you will love the furry residents, they were the main attraction for us. Absolutely would return ❤️"
