It was nice to get features of a regular hotel in a hostel stay. Like new towels each day, toothbrushes. A fan in the shower. Location is near subway station, market and Shamian pedeatrian street. Which is great. Reaching center or main parks require one-two transfers, but this is fine.
Foreingers indeed allowed. And staff are speaking english good enough to solve any issues.

The room is a bit worn but reasonably clean. Very close to Shangxiajiu and a few 100ms from the metro. No kettle in room.

Great location, easy access to food, and I especially liked the attached bathroom.
The towels were replaced everyday. The reception is 24 hours.
The MRT station is about a 10 minute walk away.
Smoking is allowed in the rooms, so it would be ideal for smokers.
