This hotel is not what you see described. When we booked it showed as 4 stars but now shows as 3 stars. The place is dirty, staff is not very friendly, breakfast absolutely to avoid. We were given a room in the cloister without windows.and the loos had a very bad smell.....we were changed room to then have a very dirty room, broken furniture and NO HOT WATER.......the hotel and Trip did not seem to care at all and we were made to pay one night penalty to cancel the reservation.

Some of the rooms in this hotel do not have windows. My boyfrined said the pool was dirty so I did not use it. The room was. Breakfast was okay and cheap. The highlight of this hotel is the location and its historic charm!! The security at the hotel was very good and the staff was very professional! Hotel does have a certain charm!

This was a very quaint and comfortable hotel with a friendly staff, but whose facilities need updating. It is in a historical area with many churches so the bells can be heard at all hours of the day and night. This affected our sleep, which affected our stay.

This is our go to hotel in Guadalajara. It’s a beautiful colonial hotel in the historic center as the cathedral is just a short walk away. You can easily visit many historic sites in a matter of minutes. The service is excellent and the weekend brunch buffet (extra cost) is great. Ask for an interior room if you are looking to reduce street noise - especially the weekends. You can easily catch a cab from hotel to airport or bus station. The hotel also offers airport transportation at an additional cost. Tours are also offered with a third party company via the concierge desk. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The room was small but very clean, bed was comfortable, pillows were ok. Small balcony was nice. Rain shower head pressure was decent lots of hot water.
We had a room on the 3rd floor the noise wasn’t bad at all. The breakfast buffet was ok. I would suggest you check the price every morning before taking it. Tuesday price was $210 pesos and Wednesday was $250. They didn’t have the prices posted either day. The Tuesday buffet was better than the Wednesday buffet. We told the front desk but didn’t do anything about it. Ask the severs for the price prior to doing the buffet. Overall the stay was good.

I loved the location of this hotel . It was within asking distance to the train and also very close to tje Guadalajara Catheral ams other main points of attraction . Staff were friendly and helpful . The one thing I didn’t like was how dim the mattress were. Other than that , I have nothing negative to say about this beautiful building (hotel)

Good quality and great bang for the buck. Right smack in the historical center near the Basilica, Degollado, Guadalajara sign, Plaza armas, Mercado Libertad, Hospicio Cabanas, etc.
Staff is friendly and place is clean.

This was one of the most beautiful hotels we’ve stayed in. It was absolutely impeccable in every sense. The meals at the restaurant were delicious and the staff was cordial, especially a waiter named David.
