Kn Arenas del Mar Hotel

Très bien, sauf la télévision.(seulement 2 chaînes en français dont une qui n'avait pas d'image et le poste de télévision ne correspond pas avec le niveau de l'hôtel; à changer. Le personnel devrait savoir un peu le français.

Brill from start to finish. 4 women between 28-39. Weather was a bit windy but was nice with the heat. Great location, great food, great entertainment, beach on your door. Our room was huge. Loved the spa. Transfers and airport were so easy and drama free. I would 100% go again.

Myself and my daughter stayed in this gorgeous hotel and we had a wonderful holiday. All the staff were so happy and helpful especially Roberto and Mayas who were exceptional. We had plenty of food to choose from for our meals and the drinks were very good. The pool is 5 star, beautifully warm when you walk in and cleaned every day. Our junior sea view suite was very nice and it was lovely to be surrounded by the sea. One big plus point for this hotel is the transfer time……15 minutes, amazing! We would definitely like to go here again!

The hotel is in a great location, it's on the beach and really easy to walk into the closest town, which has a lovely atmosphere. We personally, don't see why this hotel is a 4* as I can't see how it's different to 3* hotels we have stayed at in the past. We didn't have a problem with cleaning, we saw the hotel being cleaned every morning and our room was cleaned even without a sign on our door to say for it to be cleaned. We had €10 cash stolen when the cleaners had been one day. It was our own fault for leaving cash on the side, but really, we shouldn't have to worry about things like that happening. This can't be held against the hotel, but it's something to mention for people to be cautious about. We arrived before check in and reception gave us a warm welcome and told us to use the pool bar for refreshments before our room was ready, the member of staff on the pool bar at the time unfortunately wasn't as friendly, which immediately put us off and feel uneasy for the first day. Not sure what his problem with us was still, but the other members of staff were lovely. There are not enough sunbeds for the amount of people in the hotel, which makes no sense to us. But it was entertaining to sit having breakfast watching people at 7am go to secure their sunbeds. Incredibly cringey... but gave us a laugh. The bed was probably the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. My back is in bits from it, I honestly slept better on a towel on the beach. Air con worked, which was great and the room was spacious, balcony had a lovely view and the hotel in general was quiet and peaceful. There is plenty of choice for food and we did really enjoy the food ... a bit too much! But there are only signs on half of the foods to say what is what. We mostly got to the restaurant as soon as it opened so had no issues finding plates and cutlery, but the one evening we arrived an hour after it opened there was no glasses, plates or cutlery. 2 of the 3 coffee machines weren't working one morning and there is clearly not enough staff working to keep up with how busy the hotel is. Nothing against the staff as they were doing all that they could. I would stay at this hotel again, but not for the money we paid and we do personally think it is more of a 3* hotel. I think we didn't get what we paid for but there are lots of lovely parts to this hotel and overall a lovely first holiday in tenerife.

This hotel has a lot going for it. Nice quiet location, amazing views, spacious views, and hard-working staff. However, I can entirely see the reasons other guests have given it poor reviews. The rooms are not serviced adequately, dining room runs out of crockery quickly and queues for the bar. The hotel really does need to invest in new staff. I haven't found the hotel to be dirty, sandy round pool due to windy conditions and proximity to the beach, certainly. The food is good, lots of choice, especially in salad dishes. Staff very friendly, and all my dealings with reception were excellent.

The service was somewhat poor, the room wasn't cleaned on the first day which we accepted but then complained as once again the next day it hadn't been done. Four days later again we had to complain and was told sorry we are short staffed as its the weekend ! The food is very basic and repetitive with no description of what is on offer most of the time, no fresh orange juice available for breakfast. The paella rice wasn't cooked properly which you would expect here. Cocktails are very poor on the all inclusive with cheap ingredients. Entertainment is karaoke with bingo thrown in a couple of nights. The pool is not maintained and the tiles around the pool are mopped but the dirt is just pushed around instead of being cleaned. The hotel is dated and in urgent need of a refit or at the minimum maintenance carried out to improve the look. There appears to be general shortage of staff for the amount of guest staying here and some of those that are here do not appear to happy or helpful. In general I would not recommend the hotel which is a shame because with a little attention and better management I'm certain that most of the points raised could easily be rectified.

2nd time here , came this time last year , two week after this time . It has gone down Hill since last year , very under staffed , meaning running out of clean plates and cutlery , food is average , meat tough , for fed up and ate out . Food as said ok , but wouldn’t pay for it if I was going out to a ready restaurant. Room cleaning non existent , I had to ask for my bed sheets to be changed after 9 days , had to ask for toilet roll , and towels as very rarely hit fresh ones .rooms not cleaned . Bar often long que as only one person working , how ever the staff on duty work very hard , Maria is a star and works very hard and always happy and accommodating , Roberto on Reception very helpful. The Ancla Fish restaurant attached to Hotel is amazing and reasonably priced , we went there three times this visit , superb. Shuttle bus for some trips out worth doing , Los Christianos , although care full on the market trip , as my husband got his wallet stolen . Rooms are spacious , we had a one bedroom apartment this time . Very nice .but they face the beach , and balcony for covered in black sand , the out side table etc . It is windy here , some days very much . The spa is worth a visit , very nice , some people for a voucher for it in their arrival envelope , we didn’t , so guess this is hit and miss . If you have mobility issues as my husband does , other than the few trips via shuttle offered , and a little supermarket at the front , nothing else is assessable with out a taxi . All in all , we have made the most of our holiday, would we come back here now . NO for well over £4000 no . I think this hotel will lose its 4* Rating .

Stayed in OCt 24 - weather was superb though El Medano is very windy - pegs recommended for towells on sun lounger. Wind was no issue though if you sat at the beach side of the hotel. Food was way above average for this price bracket, lots of choice, really good quality and very fresh. Some more labelling would help but only a minor point. Rooms were spacious and clean. Beer was superb, Amstel on draught. Staff were extremely firendly and did their very best with the entertainment. It's not a huge family hotel so don't expect entertainment of that sort. Perfect for a quiet getaway to re-charge with good food.

Avoid if you expect luxury & good food. Food at best cold canteen standard. Never enough crockery cutlery etc. The few who were on shift very quite friendly although very very overworked to say the least. 3 stars at best. Please take note JET2
