Dreams Corfu Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

This Hotel was beyond belive, compared to the original hotel we were in the Nissaki Beach Hotel, which we had to be moved from, this Hotel The Dreams Resort and spa was paradise and more it was Disabled Friendly, The Bedrooms was outstanding with a wonderful sea view, the Bathroom was like a Double room size with handrails and emergency cord fitted,scales, telephone included in the bathroom, extra large quality towel, bathrobes and slippers,Umbrella in wardrobe,kettle,mini bar that was refilled everyday,expresso coffee machine with coffee pods, Large smart tv,in my previous review I was not trying to bad mouth this Hotel, all the negatives things I mentioned was about issues I had with my previous Hotel that we had to leave and in no way about the Dreams Resort and spa

Location - Beautiful location and hotel grounds. Not much around it but just a 20 minute stroll to a marina and little pebble beach. Also 20 minute taxi ride to Corfu town. Hotel/Room - Everywhere was clean and staff friendly. We stayed preferred club so had a separate lounge with reception, drinks, food and free computer use. Double room looking out over the sea was spotless and huge. Balcony was large enough to have a table and chairs as well as room to lay out World cafe - Food varied and always fresh. Loads of different foods catered for. Asian night was fab. There is also a separate kids buffet, or English tourist buffet!!!, comprising of chicken nuggets. Yiayia - Amazing food just wished there had been more to chose from Barefoot grill - Pizzas were really good as were the French toast. Nice location looking out over sea and pool Pools - At the front of the hotel is a large pool with waterfall and fountains. Has a sun deck and an Italian there Infinity pool near beach and looking out over sea Preferred pool consisted of two long pools but not very spectacular If you are looking for somewhere to relax in luxury and not really leave hotel then this is for you Only cons I could see - Would not recommend to wheel chair users or mobility issues as situated on a slope Preferred lounge didn’t have much of a good selection and no mint tea bags

We are just finishing our 6 night stay at Dreams Corfu and I'm writing this review before it becomes one of many never finished "must do"s as this hotel simply deserves it. My husband, our 2 small kids and I travel as often as possible and in recent years we were fortunate enough to be able to stay only in really nice, mostly 5-star hotels. THE PLACE This hotel most definitely surpassed all the expectations. To start with, the position (whether by luck or design or combination of both) is simply breathtaking. And the fact they made the most of it is definitely to their credit. Apparently, the hotel has been completely renovated recently, to a very high standard as everything is very elegant and chic, the surroundings and landscaping beautiful, carefully chosen and perfectly manicured. It also seems to be set in some sort of very old olive orchard as they are everywhere. THE ROOMS The accommodation is in numerous places, the main building at the top, the preferred building in the middle and the preferred bungallows to the right. We stayed in a bungalow and we loved it, very peaceful and fairly central. But with the 2 small kids we should have probably opted for the preferred building as it would have been more practical, being right next to the only heated pool, were we went every day. THE FOOD Hotel has the main buffet restaurant that is very nice, spacious, with the best views and delicious food with definitely enough choice. And my husband's pet hate - neverending Q for omelette station - has disappeared, with very fast and well organised system. We felt a bit disappointed at first to find out that there are only 2 a la carte restaurants, until we realised that there are another 2 lunch (12-4pm) a la carte restaurants (italian and seafood), plus 2 poolside bars with grab and go choice of snacks and ice creams. This hotel most definitely doesn't let you go hungry. When you check in, you can download the app to see what's what and where, and prebook a la carte without limitations. All the restaurants were REALLY nice but the evening seaview grill was quite a different and special experience. THE ENTERTAINMENT There is every day entertainment in main reataurant/lobby area that is very enjoyable - jazz night, classical music, greek night etc. There is a mini disco for smallies every night in theatre area, followed by again differently themed adult entertainment. The hotel is still part of a small town Gouvia, where one can venture for walk/food/coffee or just 15min cab ride (€25 one way) to Corfu town. Perhaps well worth to mention is the day or evening boat trip from the hotel's jetty to Corfu town for €23 per adult or €12 per child return fare. THE EXTRAS It's probably not even necessary to mention the staff who are all very professional, hard working, polite, lovely, nothing is too much and there is abundance of them. We were a couple travelling at the end of May, unbeknownst to us this was also the English half term. Unfortunately the first half of our holiday was less than relaxing with an extremely large amount of young children at the resort. It did kind of ruin the vibe of a 5 star relaxing holiday that we were expecting. The resort itself is stunning. Staff on arrival were extremely welcoming and made us feel very special with welcome drinks, towels and a general all round lovely attitude. We were in a Seaview bungalow which we had paid a supplement for. Unfortunately this also didn't really live up to our expectations as 90% of our view was of the back door of another bungalow. However, the room itself was beautiful. Comfy bed, lovely towels, gorgeous bathroom and really well maintained be housekeeping all week. The lagoon pool was definitely not of 5 star quality. Over run with inflatables, screaming kids and adults at times! So we spent most of our days at the bottom infinity pool where the view of the sea and excellent bar service made up where the lagoon pool was lacking. Special mention to Roila (I think her name was?) A brilliant waitress at the infinity pool who worked incredibly hard all day trying to keep up with so many orders and a fair amount of chaos! At times during our stay, we felt the bigger groups of families were prioritised over us as a couple. Numerous times, we were waiting for tables, only for a larger group of 8 or 9 to be seated long before us. However, after the crazy spell ended and alot of the families went home, service at this resort improved drastically. We relaxed and felt much more at home and were treated with alot more time and effort from staff. They were literally just over run with too many visitors and not enough staff or tables at times previous to this, which is obviously nothing to do with the staff. They were trying their very best at all times to keep up. Food was of great quality, drinks were acceptable. Cocktails were rushed and sometimes far too strong and not well mixed, but again we feel this was due to amount of people requesting drinks earlier in the week. We noticed a great improvement in the quality of drinks once the rush had died away. Service at the barefoot grill on the one night we managed to get a booking was poor. We left after waiting 30 mins after our mains to even place an order for desserts, again due to a larger group taking priority. The food was also of poor quality. Scallops were overcooked and seemed to have been sitting a while before serving, and mains were tiny and heavily salted. All in all, it really is a lovely hotel with great potential. But if travelling as a couple or a group of older adults, then I would recommend travelling outside school holidays as the hotel just doesn't seem to cope when it is fully booked and therefore the 5 star quality is lost. Not five star some lovely staff one or two very miserable the board says no lifeguard on duty and this was correct there was a rude young man in a t shirt but he wasn’t watching the pool mini fridge didn’t work wasn’t fixed coffee machine didn’t work food wasn’t available when we got there and the staff stop serving well before midnight no heated pool some lovely views and staff but v underwhelmed and won’t return

We were a couple travelling with a mixed family group at half term. Check in… limited information given, most importantly not told you have to give 24 hours notice for booking a la carte restaurants. Setting & Grounds…. Set in a beautiful bay, amazing outlook. The grounds are lovely, planting & paths well maintained. 🌴 ⛵️ All the toilets, corridors extremely clean. Rooms….. We had a bungalow with a sea view. A little small and no mirror in the bedroom near a plug socket (but this is usually the same in every hotel we ever stay in!) but apart from that fantastic. Lovely bed linen, towels, comfy beds and the best hotel shower we have ever had!! 🚿 Pools & Beach….We used the adults only area a couple of times. Great sun beds and plenty of them. Areas all very clean pool nice just very cold!! We didn’t sit by or use the other pools as over run with families and inflatables!… but it was half term!! 🏊🏼 Restaurants….. The buffet restaurant was pretty good. At breakfast a great selection of fresh fruit, nuts, delicious local honey and yogurt. Nicely cooked poached eggs, we found a lot of the other hot food too greasy. Some sour dough bread, strawberries and avocado would have been nice additions. Lunch & dinner lovely selection of salads. Some hot food was nice but just so many dishes with unnecessary sauces (although this is the same at all buffets) If they served good quality meat and fish no need to cover in sauce!… 🍴 Italian…. Good pizzas, salads pretty good. Greek…. We ate there twice, first time not bad at all. the second time I had to ask for something else. The chicken dish appeared to have the salad dressing from lunchtime warmed up all over it. It transpired afterwards that the 2 fish dishes in out party had had the same sauce on theirs 😳 Seaside grill…. The ribeye steak we had wasn’t bad, the raspberry soufflé was a different story!!! It had come out of the microwave!!.. This restaurant was trying far too hard to be something that it absolutely wasn’t!!…. Dehydrated egg yolk, melon consumee and olive soil 😳 were our highlights!!… (not) Bearfoot grill….. I had the most pathetic Caesar salad you have ever seen (see pic) served by incredibly rude & uninterested staff. Service……. We were told if we would like a drink whilst at the pool or beach a waiter would take our order. This DOESN’T happen pretty much 90% of the time. I think they were overwhelmed by the number of guests the first part of the week, this resulted in tables left un cleared and grumpy staff. Often whilst management just stood around. When things calmed down it looked like the staff just weren’t trained properly or were just too long in the tooth to care!!… Drinks…. Good selection of Premuim spirits, lazy & unimaginative cocktail menu. The wine… well… 2 white, 2 red, 2 rose. That’s it!!… Plastic glassware… of course by the pool or beach but not in a restaurant and certainly not for a drink in the evening!!! At the time of booking this holiday (March 2023) t

Just returned from a 7 night stay in a family bungalow. Have nothing but positive comments about this resort. Accommodation, resort facilities, food & drink and staff are all excellent. Pre - booked resteraunts can be tricky to make reservations for but unlike other resorts we’ve stayed at the buffet is a very welcome fallback. Would happily return and thanks to all the Dreams team for their hard work.

We were part of a big party (12 of us in total) 9 adults and 3 kids aged 8,5 and 4) Rooms- were lovely, clean and spacious and ample space for storage (mini fridge stocked up each day!) Pool- absolutely freezing! But good fun! We used all three pools (apart from members pool) and all were clean and well maintained! As the hotel advertises as for families, the pools should open earlier than 10, as most kids are awake and ready for a swim by 8 🤣🤣 Food- we only ate in the buffet for dinners as we found the menus for the Al la cart restaurants was very limited Buffet was good! Nice choice of different foods and restocked regularly! Entertainment- this is where it let us down a little, there didn’t seem to be much on for the kids (or adults really) I mean we might have missed it, but it wasn’t obvious if there was anything going on of an evening.

We loved the place. Food drinks entertainment were all spot on. The pool areas and the beach were also perfect. Maybe a little warmer in the main pools would be our only improvement
