Castle Manor Inn

DONT RISK BOOKING HERE!! Booked almost 6 months in advance and crossed the country only to arrive and be told they overbooked and absolutely refused to find a resolution or a refund. We were left stranded with no local availability anywhere on the busiest time of the year. No apology from the owner, no help finding another room, nothing. Rude, rude, rude! Completely unprofessional attitude. Choose anywhere else! UPDATE: This place blocks account for anyone offering an honest review. UNPROFESSIONAL

Womderful are and view accompanied by wonderful guest services and breakfast. Would highly reccomend.

Very Quaint. Staff was personable. Met the owner. Great guy!! Rooms were spacious. Breakfast was excellent!

From check in to check out, we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The hotel has wonderful charm and is decently appointed. It is close to wonderful dining, both onsite and nearby. It is also close to the train station if you opt to rail to Salem or Manchester-by-the-Sea,

Very clean breakfast is outstanding. John at the desk is the Best… also Kamron in the restaurant is one of the best waiters I have had in a long time.❤️

Honestly, I really wanted to like this place. It was so cute, the view was beautiful, and the staff was very friendly.

Only four out of five stars because I did not like that you couldn't open any of the windows. I do like a little breeze and get air flow. You could see The windows have been painted shut. We stayed in number five which was on the left side of the main building. Couldn't open the window in the bathroom either. The property grounds are beautiful! The main building is also very beautiful. It has a wonderful front area. Didn't get a chance to order breakfast which bummed me out too They only serve breakfast on the weekends which I didn't really read until after we checked in. So that's my fault. It is a beautiful place to stay. I definitely recommend. I would probably stay here again.

The property was really dirty. The lady that gave me our keys early was very nice said they were cleaning our room and as long as we came back after 3 it would be ready. We stopped by early hoping to get the check in done as we wanted to go down to Salem and wasn't sure when we'd get back. The hair in the bathroom was disgusting. I get that they alway dogs...and some on the floor would not have bugged me...the bathroom was covered in hair. The sink was beyond over looking it being nasty. The cups they left for you to drink out of had hair in them. They had plastic that looked like it was put back on...otherwise there was no plastic or the plastic was open. We killed to pretty good sized spiders and 3 other bugs that we were not sure what they were. It looked like someone cut themselves and bleed on the floor and the cleaning staff over looked it when "cleaning". And last but not least they did have an ice bucket...with hair in it...but no ice machine. I would not recommend nor will I be back to this establishment.

The motel rooms are so much better than advertised! We felt like we got so much more than we paid for, especially with the lovely balcony out back. Perfectly clean and modern (with cute retro touches in the bathroom).
