Brunston Castle

Headed down for a midweek break - Monday to Friday. Fortunately, the weather was dry and we enjoyed many wonderful walks during our stay. The lodge was very cosy and well-maintained. Beds so comfortable. Hot tub - heavenly. All the staff were so welcoming and quick to sort any issues. We used the swimming pool and sauna and were the only 2 in- it was very quiet and felt like it was our own personal pool. We shopped at the little Morrisons which had all we needed and was within easy walking distance. The bus to Ayr and Girvan/Stranraer also leaves regularly from Morrisons. A wonderful place to explore the beauties of Ayrshire from.

We visited Brunston Castle as a family to celebrate a birthday & had 2 lodges. They were beautiful and very spacious, and they had everything you needed for a break away. The staff were all lovely and very helpful and nothing was a problem. The facilities on site were great too. We visited the bar area once we were checked in where the boys made use of pool table & the kids went swimming. We also ordered pizzas to take away & have in the lodges one evening. We simply phoned from the lodge to order & went down and collected them. At the entrance to Brunston Castle, there is a Morrisons store that you can pop along to if you need anything, which was quite handy. There are lots of places nearby to visit too & we travelled the short distance to Maybole and Girvan on different evenings for dinner.

Lodges are like villas, we were pleasantly surprised as how big ours was inside. Very clean & comfortable. The cafe bar was lovely too & on a sunny day we sat outside while the boys played. We used the pool & sauna everyday and played table tennis. The gym has everything you need & all the equipment seems new. We had a lovely week at Brunston Castle and will definitely book again.
