Immaculate en-suite bedroom in a private house. The hosts couldn’t be more polite and helpful. We had a beautiful fresh cooked breakfast after a comfy quiet nights sleep. Highly recommended 🤞🏻

Quiet location within short walking distance of shops and pubs in Gilwern. The accommodation was very clean and tidy throughout and our room was equipped with everything needed for a short stay. Kel and Mel the hosts were very welcoming and helpful and the breakfasts were very good – beautifully cooked using good quality produce. Thanks for your hospitality! We hope to return in the future. Highly recommended.

My husband and I visited Mill Lodge and it was lovely. Kel & Mel were exceptional hosts who clearly enjoy hosting the travellers that stay in there lodge. From the moment we entered, they took their time to impart their knowledge of the local area and plan our adventures. As we both fell ill during the trip, we appreciated their interest in restoring our health, giving recommendations and providing healthy teas. They nailed the title of “bed and breakfast.”We could easily see the attention to detail that was given to both. The breakfast was amazing - probably some of the best we’ve had during our travels. The atmosphere and catering gave a fine dining-like experience every morning- the perfect way to start the day. The bedroom feels clean, and bright. The bed was cozy, the internet worked well, they provide Netflix if that’s your thing, and there is supply of tea and biscuits in the room. The view from the window is stunning. The sound of birds and bugs and the river running nearby is a peaceful one. The location was very good too - very serene. You can walk along the canal (the entrance is a short walk away from the lodge) . It is a short 15-minute drive to the town center of Abergavenny. And about an hour drive to the nearby waterfalls and mountain hiking. Mill Lodge will not disappoint. We enjoyed our stay very much even being sick the entire time.

Lovely BnB with great location, friendly proprietors, stylish decor and a great location in a peaceful village. It is within walking distance of the nearby village that offers a few pubs if you are not wanting to drive into the nearby town of Abergavenny. And the most amazing breakfast awaits you in the morning!

Staying for three nights we enjoyed the hospitality of Kelvin & Meryl in their town of Gilwern. Good communication prior to our arrival, made locating their B&B easy. Our room had a comfortable bed, with excellent wifi available. We were spoilt for choice, enjoying made to order breakfasts each morning, as all eating options were catered for by Kelvin. Enjoying excellent weather, we were able to drive and explore some of the Brecon Beacons highlights from Gilwern, along with making the short walk to the passing Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and experience the local pubs for dinner. Looking forward to a return visit when next visiting south Wales.

Kel was a terrific host - welcoming and interesting to chat with. Room was comfortable and as advertised. Doona was fantastic. Breakfast room lovely with relaxing music and great food cooked to order. Very reasonable price found it good value.

Friendly welcome, good clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was excellent. Thank you we enjoyed our stay. Only bad point the entrance drive is quite steep and would could be tricky in a sports car. But owners advice on how to cope with it was spot on.

Fantastic friendly hosts, (Kel & Mel) lovely B&B, rooms spacious, very clean and had everything you could need. Breakfast was exceptional and offered various choices. great location to explore the Brecon Beacons. Thoroughly recommended and we will be staying here again on our next visit to the Brecons. Great price for exceptional accommodation and service.
