I guess things could have been worse. But it was bad. Overall, this was just a really sad, uncomfortable, borderline unsafe experience. I was fooled by what I now think were fake reviews on another site and decided to stay here for one night with my husband and young son, as we passed through during holiday travels. We arrived late and the priority was to get the baby to bed with as few disruptions as possible. My husband completely unloaded the car (because the parking lot was very dark and there were people just kinda hanging out), while I got the baby into his PJs. The room was freezing, so I turned on the heat. For the first few hours, the heater would turn on, sounding like a jet engine and blowing lukewarm air. Around 3am my husband and I decided to just turn it off because it was impossible to sleep. And then we froze. The thin blanket was not nearly warm enough for a December night. At 7am I decided to give up on sleep and check out the free breakfast, thinking I would bring back a coffee and some food for my husband and baby. If I had seen the hotel in the daylight, I would not have stayed there. There was a gap between the sliding door and the outside, just letting in the cold air, bugs, and general detritus. The bathroom was filthy. Everything was gross, and definitely not somewhere I would want my child to be crawling around. The breakfast was a joke. There were signs posted everywhere warning that breakfast was ONLY to be eaten in the lobby, and NO FOOD was to be taken back to rooms. So much for my thought of bringing breakfast to my family. But it turned out both the coffee and juice machines were broken. The cereal was all junk (lots of sugar), and the eggs looked absolutely disgusting. I returned to the room empty handed and found a coffee shop one exit away. Ultimately, you get what you pay for. This hotel was sketchy, unclean, and generally disappointing. Don't make the same mistake we did.
