Auberge Sous les Arbres

Very great experience in a charming place. The retrofitting of two adjoining houses is very impressive. All the amenities were first rate. You felt that the owners understood what travelers want after a full day of visiting. Things like China cups and saucers, high quality sheets and bed covers, no hassle Wi-Fi, good parking arrangement, excellent breakfast selection with quality foods. Everything was A 1.

A great place to stay, beautiful and clean rooms with a good service. Mimi, at the front desk is a very nice person. Breakfast is continental. The restaurant across the street is awesome for dinner and drinks.

We had a wonderful stay at the Auberge Sous les Arbres. I only regret that we didn't stay more than 1 night. My husband and did a bicycle tour of the Gaspésie and stayed in 12 different places. The Auberge Sous les Arbres was our favorite. When we arrived, we were greeted by Mimi who was delightfully cheerful, helpful and efficient. It makes a big difference to me to have a warm welcome when I arrive at a place. We were directed to covered 'parking' for our tandem bicycle, a nicety that not all places provide. We then came into the auberge, which is beautiful. The common spaces are very nicely decorated and comfortable and our room was beautiful, from floor to ceiling! (we especially liked the lovely, painted ceiling). The bed was very comfortable and the room was dark and quiet, so we slept well. The breakfast, which is listed as "continental" surpassed our expectations with excellent coffee and a delicious Creton. Overall, we had a great stay and loved the auberge. I hope to go back.

We just finished a road trip around the Gaspé peninsula, and we have to say that a highlight was our 3-day stay at Auberge sous les Arbres. The inn is gorgeous. Our room (303) was fabulous. A perfect, comfortable, clean place to rest our weary bones after hiking in Forillon Park or on Bonaventure Island down in Percé. The owners, Diego and Stephanie, are pros at making one feel welcome. We know where we will be staying when we return to Gaspé.

Beautiful vintage boutique hotel. Impeccably clean. Wonderful service. Charming antique decor with all modern amenities. We were on a motocycle tour around Gaspe Penninsula and it was a highlight of our trip. Conveniently located close to a couple of good restaurants, so when we came back to our room after day of whale-watching and hiking Forillon National Park it was very convenient. Highly recommend. Also reasonably priced as at the time of our stay tasty breakfast was also included.

The inn looked gorgeous even on a rainy , cold day. Our room was beautiful, bed was comfortable. and the shower was just right. We took the host's recommendation of a nearby restaurant, Brise Bise, and bakery, Oh Les Pains, within a short walk of the Auberge. Both were excellent. Breakfast was simple, but ample and in a pleasant room. I loved the extra touches at the Auberge, such as umbrellas available by the doors. I hope to visit again some day.

One of the highlights of our Quebec trip. We stayed two nights in a balcony room with a sitting area. The room was spacious and lovely. We had a small fridge and Nespresso coffee maker in the room. The breakfast is listed as continental but was more than adequate. Toast, hardboiled eggs, oatmeal, yoghurt, jams, specialty coffees, juice, milk, bananas, etc. The owners/staff were very friendly and you can tell they care about their guests.

This was the most charming, accommodating, quiet, and prettiest place that we stayed at during our vacation in the Gaspésie. The Auberge is beautifully decorated, with spacious rooms, The breakfast is nutritious, with wonderful coffee, served in a lovely room. After hiking in the nearby Forillon Park, it's a 30 minute drive to the Auberge. We ended up staying four days instead of our original plan of two nights. The hosts are knowledgeable and welcoming.

Direct access to the small downtown, but the house is in retreat up the hill, quiet, all walkable, free parking, view on the bay, summer garden and a large porch, old B&B room style, unikeazied, lovely hosts!
