We’ve been back in Gardone Riviera after 3 years, and as in august 2019 we had a good stay, we went back to the Mefuta Hotel. When we arrived, we got told that our room was upgraded, which was great! Once we got to the room, with a very nice view on the lake, everything was perfect. Unfortunately, we got disappointed when we realized that the hotel makes a huge difference between high and low season, which I can partially understand. BUT having a freezing room with no heater working (especially when it’s cold outside), a limited breakfast and a closed spa (because of Covid) is disappointing for clients who paid 200€ per night. The solution for the cold room was a small heater from the hotel, who saved our stay, otherwise it would have been impossible sleeping there. Regarding the breakfast, there was no choice, no scrambled eggs, an very hard Nutella and like just 3 croissants. When we asked for more or other things, the answer was always the same: as we are in low season, and less than X rooms, they don’t let come a cook for the breakfast, and don’t turn on the heater, and don’t do this and don’t do that… and and and… it was very annoying. I definitely don’t go back to this hotel if I would come back to the Lake Garda one day. Not worth it.
