We arrived at 2:30pm to check, in, was told our room would be ready at 4pm. So we waited in the lobby until 4:15. Finally I went back to ask why it was taking so long. Apparently they lost my number and had no way of contacting me (which felt not right). A half-baked apology was all I got. I was with my 3 kids and a pregnant wife, sitting in a lobby for more than a hour (almost 2) was a bit more than a mild inconvenience.

GWL is a super fun place for the kids. However, the hotel does need updates. It’s worn and it’s noticeable. We checked in at night due to our flight being delayed, and it was very quiet. We were not informed of simple information such as wear to pick up the wolf ears, how to enter the water park, where anything was in the hotel.
More importantly, house cleaning is not done unless you ask for it. We stayed 4 nights and our room was cleaned on night 4? Doesn’t make sense, considering it was our last night.
Nevertheless, the kids seemed to really enjoy themselves and don’t notice the wear and tear on the hotel. Staff were overall very pleasant and friendly.

We ate at Wood lodge fire grill and was told there was a 30 minute wait yet there were many empty tables. Hostess was rude. When we sat down, waitress was impatient with us.
In the morning I ordered coffee & donuts- waited over 45 minutes for 2 coffees. When I went to inquire, there they sat, needless to say they were cold. When I told worker that my number never came up, he ignored me. The lodging was great but the customer service was horrible.

Good deal and like the easy checkout, location, and activities. Parking info was a bit unclear and that could be improved for sure. Staff was generally helpful and kind. Rooms were comfortable but kind of bare. Solid deal for the price and convenient.

Amazing front desk service! Went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay! It was our first time at this hotel and we will definitely be coming back! Such friendly happy people working here that it just makes you feel good!

We didnt know what to expect as there were a lot of bad reviews, but this place was great!! We stayed here for a week. Staff super friendly. Kids loved the water park. Only down side was parking was $29 a night. This should be free, or a much smaller fee for overnight guests

The area around the hotel was great. The hotel itself is outdated. Room advertised as queen beds, felt more like a twin xl or full size.
