The good part was the view of valley from the room ( 502. Room service staff was polite. Big negative : front office desk were extremely rude and behaves very aggressively during check in on the matter of car parking. We had to bring our luggages ourselves 100 metres uphill. Hotel didn't provide any staff, neither allowed our car to be parked so that the luggages can be taken. Food quality not good. Ordered chilly chicken however the chicken pieces were so big, we couldn't eat also food prices are exorbitant washroom basin wasn't working properly, even after informing them it didn't get resolved Sikkim tourism charges extremely high for even a very small thing.

The view from the hotel is great. Food is really delicious and stay is comfortable for a budget traveller. All the important areas are in walking distance.

Location of the hotel is very good and food quality in the restaurant is excellent. The rooms are spacious and cleaned regularly but lack in some basic facilities which can be improved. Staff behaviour is good. Overall we had a good stay there considering the room tariff.

Never recommend anyone to hotel tibet in gangtok. Food has been good at a reasonable price but the stay is just horrible. Shabby rooms at such high rates with bathroom facets not working. Even no proper mirror for a morning shave. Geyser not working have to had a chilled water bath. Rooms are not well maintained, are stinking. Furnitures are of 1970s. The hotel need immediate revamp. Rates are too high as compared to room size and quality.

Location is the only plus. Everything else was bad. The room was very small and shabby. Interestingly the tap on the washroom only had hot water. Staff were reluctant to listen to any and all issues. Tv did not work and was not fixed. We were told that we had to have our dinner in that very small room as their restaurant was busy and they wanted to close it soon and were not ready for us to wait as we did not want to have dinner for six in the small room. Fortunately an external customer vacated a table and we were able to eat. Seemed like not a good option as much better options were available nearby at cheaper rates.

The room was filthy. Unhygienic, needed room spray to stay. Bathroom commode flash not working. Basin tap not working. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Room light was insufficient. Food was spicy. Scarcity of service staff. Only good thing is location. Very close to MG Marg.

Welcome to Hotel Tibet, in the heart of town -where traditional hospitality is an experience and comfort is real.
As aficionados of nature and trekkers began to sneak in it gave impetus to tourism and hospitality industry. Our humble beginning coincided at that time, but shortly with the glittering ceremony on 22 'nd december,1981 in the presence of the then H. E Governor and Chief Minister of Sikkim, our formal foundation ensued in the name and style of Hotel Tibet. As years rolled on we found ourselves stealing the march as feathers gets donned on our cap which seemed to speak volume that we could be what we visioned.
Today, amongst the many contemporary hospitality services, to meet the needs of discerning guests, and buoyed up by our resilience coupled with our eclectic approach in innovative service stood in good stead to be in tune with cosmopolitan milieu.
