Glad I didn’t get a chance to read the reviews as I ended up booking this hotel at 3am after being stranded on the airport floor by my airline, and by chance this hotel seemed to have the last room available in town and my experience was pretty pleasant. I arrived around 3am. The check-in took quite some time, but the receptionist was lovely (he had kept the room for me over the phone!) and even offered to go get me some food from a nearby kebab place given the time of the day and how starving and exhausted I was after my ordeals, which he ended up bringing to my room as well. He did also ring the phone three times, which while I appreciate the concerns checking whether I had in fact ordered something and if I wanted a coffee, but it was 5am after all, and while I had ordered food, I had also given up on it arriving and was trying to get some sleep regardless. I had what I think they call a junior suite? It had three beds and a sofa bed and it was a corner room. I found the bed extremely comfortable and the decor was modern enough. If you are a crowd of three, it might be a bit tight due to all the beds, but to me the room felt huge, particularly given that I was lucky to get one at all. There was water, some hot drink options and some peanuts as snacks. The bathroom was generously sized and had some basic toiletries as well as stuff like q-tips and cotton pads. That’s as much as I remember as I was pretty exhausted at that point. I slept through the breakfast - as my kebab had finally arrived at 5am - it wasn’t great by the way and I’m really not sure why I couldn’t have just gotten a few pieces of toast or an apple when I arrived (I did ask), but I guess maybe different staff, or just hotel rules - so can’t comment on that. Reception area was small, but both receptionists were lovely. Initially, I was told there was no luggage hold, however the morning receptionist still took them and kept them behind the reception desk for me for the day, which was much appreciated. Wi-Fi was hit and miss on the top floor. As of August 2023, there was scaffolding outside, however my windows were facing the other way, and I couldn’t really hear the noise Location was fine, not the prettiest area, but there were plenty of bakeries, coffee shops and restaurants within 5-10 minutes as a well as two different tram tracks within 3 mins either direction from the hotel. Train station (and airport train) is walkable, even with luggage - took maybe 10-15 minutes, and you could also just travel one stop on the tram. It’s about 2.5km from town, so I walked my way there and got the tram on the way back. Taxi from the airport was around 25€ in the middle of the night and took about 10-15 minutes, the train was under 6€ and took about half an hour with the walk.
