Hôtel Mercure Forbach

The Room was spacious & clean. Staff was very helpful to guide about everything. There is some parking right opposite to the reception of the hotel, this belongs to hotel, however there is plenty of free (public) parking very next to the building. This hotel is located in a quite town, near German Border. There is seating available with tables etc infront of hotel entrance. Nice place to sit and chit chat in summers preferably.

Served RAW chicken, left me feeling sick and unable to eat, when mentioned to staff about contamination they were reluctant to change cutlery, no smoke Allan in room and beds are extremely uncomfortable.

Disappointed with the size of the tiny bedroom with view onto a rusty, dirty fire escape. The bathroom was like a cupboard with only 1 bath towel for 2 people. The kettle was filthy with old water inside and had a terrible smell. I can only find 1 positive and that was the modern , clean shower although no soap provided, shame.

Recently stayed overnight on a coach trip with Angela Holidays 21 December and again return. Was very tired the first night had been travelling since 3.30. Was really greatful for the water in the fridge and ample supply of towels. Dinner was awful a dried out piece of chicken and 9 chips, the other table had omelette ran out of chicken, the service was terrible Our return overnight stay was worse, no coffee pods a fellow traveller was told by the shouty manager that they were 1 euro each if she wanted them and the rooms were very cold. No water in the fridge this time was told not in ‘our package’ we bought a bottle instead. The food was no better than the first we stayed silent. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They also need to do a health and safety check as the plug sockets were hanging off the skirting. Do not stay here you have been warned!!

Love this hotel, have been using it for years and hope to return for many years to come. Rooms are always clean and well appointed. Staff are amazing and food is always excellent. Plenty of parking and easy access to the motorway, perfect for a business stay or an overnight on route to Germany/Austria

As part of 10 days coach tour we spent 2 nights in this hotel. We had given them two months’ advance notice that we are vegetarians- no meat, no fish, no eggs. Dairy, yes. For our evening meal we were given French fries with salad leaves! Whilst the rest of the coach had a hot meal of expensive cuts of meat. The situation did not get any better with the breakfast. Wake up France! You claim to be the center of culinary expertise. Please educate your chefs to look after vegetarians and vegans. Thanks.

L’hôtel est facile d’accès en sortie d’autoroute dans un écrin de verdure. L’hôtel est beau, décoré avec goût et l’espace easy Work est très agréable pour travailler : j’ai pu faire mes réunions zoom tranquillement dans un cadre verdoyant (ça change). La literie est très confortable, la chambre a été rénovée récemment avec un beau mobilier (j’ai vraiment apprécié) Le restaurant est ouvert le soir et on y mange bien. Le petit déjeuner est vraiment Top! Copieux, frais et variés. J’ai adoré qu’il y ai un petit déjeuner 100% vegan et plusieurs Thé en vrac de proposés. Je vous le recommande vivement !

La réceptionniste était en train de préparer de très jolies compositions florales à notre arrivée. Un peu déconcertant…mais symptomatique du fonctionnement et du caractère très original de cet hôtel Mercure. L’accueil a été chaleureux et sincère sans être obséquieux et stéréotypé. La chambre occupée était propre, moderne et fonctionnelle mais couloirs mériteraient une petite rénovation. La salle de restaurant est chic et joliment agencée mais la cuisine, un peu trop simple à notre goût (même si très goûteuse) est en décalage avec l’aspect sophistiqué du restaurant. Excellent petit déjeuner, différent sur les 2 jours, avec des produits locaux succulents et des créations « maison » originales et gourmandes.
