Palazzo della Stufa - Residenza d'Epoca

This is a beautiful boutique hotel right in the bustling heart of Florence. The whole place was decorated to such a beautiful standard and very tastefully. Our bedroom and bathroom in particular were very spacious. The views out over the piazza and the Basilica di San Lorenzo were just phenomenal, and we could also see the dome of the Duomo over the rooftops. There was a great selection of buskers in the piazza immediately below, and it was a real treat to people watch and listen from high above. The windows have been replaced very recently and do an amazing job of shutting out the noise, even the bells from the church over the street. The staff were all very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast selection could have been slightly better, but otherwise this was a first class stay.

Beautiful individual boutique hotel. We had two rooms and both were decorated to a high standard. The breakfast was delicious, prepared and waiting for us at the scheduled time we chose - you simply tick the items on the list and the time you wish to dine and then it all appears , served by a lovely gentleman. All the team are so friendly and Alessandro was so helpful. The location is perfect , if you get the chance to stay here , do - it’s perfect

I highly recommend this hotel, excellent central location. Immaculately clean large bright room. Very attentive staff and the most delicious breakfast. We would definitely return if visiting Florence again.

We stayed at this marvelous residence right in the heart of the city centre facing St Lorenzo Basilica. The centrality of the location was par excellence. From your room you can enjoy street performers and people watching. Although it is in the heart of Florence and around 1 min walk to the spellbinding Duomo, it was not noisy ( and the square remains active until night). The bed is one of the best beds we’ve ever slept on and immaculately clean and organized. The staff Alessandro and Constanza were simply amazing. Alessandro was super helpful with all his added sharing and we felt most at home. I would highly recommend this Bed n Breakfast to anyone visiting Florence. You will have no regrets. There was air cond in the room which is an absolute must for us and was silent and cold. *Highlights* 1. The bed 2. Excellent air cond 3. Hair dryer ( 2- one in bathroom one in the room) 4. The lovely Spumante strawberries, blueberries and cream in the room for hubby’s birthday 5. The coffee treats 6. The ample space and size of the room 7. The sweet treats around the residence ( loved the chocolate!) *Areas for improvement* These are not criticisms but things that we have noticed that need work in a competitive hospitality world in time to come to cater to the range of tourists. 1. Breakfast was super underwhelming for us. PLEASE NOTE OTHER COMMENTS ON THIS in the reviews. It had been mentioned a few times. This is how the B N B operates. You leave a card outside your door and in the morning your selected items are served in a lovely quaint room. I feel the chef has no knowledge of service. The table would be empty when you come and then you’d be served water. Then something random is given to you which u ordered ( from a range of toast, muesli w yoghurt, pancakes, ham n cheese sandwich). Ok so out comes a plate of tiny pikelets ( 3 pancakes, ice cold w blueberries). Then 5 min later u get butter n jam if u ask n maple syrup. The second day it was 1 sunny side. Nothing else with it until you ask. If you didn’t select the night before they oblige you and make it but there is no consistency. On day one we got 4 pastry items. On day 3 it was 2 n when we asked for more we were told there none. The ham n cheese sandwich is worse than the ones you get ready made in an airport. Hard stone cold. All this is while there is no coffee or tea. You ask again. The menu card offering is like any hotel bfast but it is served n made so badly. Not thing nice is the chinaware. One by one random things come out. Honestly, I found this to be the most ridiculous and unacceptable for the price we paid but didn’t want to make a fuss. Nothing tasted good except yoghurt n muesli which is store bought. The cakes are lovely. The strange thing is we raised this the first day that all items are ice cold and the chef snapped at us. Constanza came to the rescue and worked in the kitchen to help serve. I don’t understand why they need to go in and out the door like 10-15 times

This was the most magic stay. The rooms are huge, the bathrooms are huge as well and the views are dreamy. The bed was the most comfortable out of all 4 hotels/B&B's that we stayed in. The woman running this was very sweet and helpful. We did not have breakfast within, but were welcomed to do so if we wanted to. If you are in Florence, this is the only place you should ever stay. There is a elevator up to the entrance, but you will climb stairs if you are on the top floor. We were in a Superior Double Room. Air conditioning was nice and cold! We will be back.

We arrived at the Palazoo della Stuffa, and found the enormous wooden doors… a few flights of stairs up(elevator available) And we were met by the hotel staff. The rooms are wonderfully appointed, clean. The staff went out of their way to help. Breakfast, amazing. We will be visiting again. Centrally located in the heart of Florence. 10 minute walk to the train station.

This hotel is within a short walking distance to major landmarks such as Duomo, Uffizi and Accademia Galleries as well as Mercado Central. It is about a 10-15 cab ride from the train station and a 20 minute cab ride from Florence airport. The room is clean and spacious, although it is expensive during high season (July). The downside is that breakfast is not included and worse- pricey and cooked poorly. It is 12 euros and the omelette is thin, dry and overcooked. The worst part is the staff, in particular, Costanza, who is unfriendly, does not smile, and begrudgingly helps. She makes the guests feel uncomfortable for asking questions and She is the reason i will not be returning to this hotel. I would like to point out that it is only her who is rude as the other staff member had a great attitude and made guests feel welcome. But since there is only one person working at a time, and during my four day stay, it was mainly her, I felt unwelcome during my entire stay. I am assured by the fact that there are many other nearby hotels with the same great walking distance that I do not need to come back to this particular hotel.

The hotel is on the 3rd floor of an older building on San Lorenzo Plaza. The room are exquisitely clean, beds/pillows are beyond comfortable. The staff lovey, made sure the tiniest of wishes were granted. We will definitely be return visitors.

Right in the centre of Florence Palazzo della Stufa offers beautiful views from the window to Piazza San Lorenzo. The rooms are extremely cosy offering you a high end super luxurious experience. Beautifully decorated, super clean and spacious. The views are stunning just stunning. You cannot ask for more. The service is top and I would definitely come back. One of the most charming parts is the homemade cake for breakfast - make sure to try it!
