A beautiful apar**ent, in a quiet yet central spot, with a view of the Duomo from the courtyard. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms all comfortable and well equipped. Perfect for a relaxed special break… we would definitely stay again.

We stayed in the small apar**ent with the mezzanine floor no 12 It has all the amenities you need but it was very small and five nights felt a bit long here especially as the only toilet /bathroom is downstairs and you have to go down quite steep stairs to access it The room to sit in is also tiny and we couldn’t see outside as the window was very high so was quite dark The staff are great and very helpful , and the location is also great as it’s very close to everything

Jessica, who checked us in, said it best: “we want this to be home away from home”! And it truly was! Great location (you can literally see the Duomo from the courtyard) great amenities (kitchen, tv, washer/dryer, fantastic AC), quirky and fun decor, peaceful, safe, comfortable, attentive and pleasant service…need I say more? Very close to walk to all the Firenze attractions and pretty close to the train station as well. I would just make a couple of suggestions to improve the stay even more: 1. The recycle list for trash is great but a little confusing. We tried our very best, but it might be easier to mark the trash cans? 2. I would have loved to sit outside, however mosquitoes bother me quite a bit. Some citronella burners outside would be lovely! 3. Even though there are three doors with security codes to get through, a safe in the room would be great for those of us who are anxious, it would give great peace of mind! I recommend La Gabbia del Grillo to everyone looking for a “guest house feel” stay in Firenze! 5 stars!

Cannot praise this accommodation enough. Outstanding in all respects! Good price, excellent location, clean, extremely helpful manager. Complete kitchen, washer/dryer. Very flexible management. Helped us out with everything.

Our hosts were VERY accommodating. We took two overnight trips away from Florence and they allowed us to keep our bags there (instead of carting them around Italy). The communication was excellent leading up to the trip - they even made tour and restaurant reservations for us. GREAT location and great experience!

We enjoyed an incredible 4 night stay here; first we were welcomed by such gracious and kind hosts who helped us get settled and showed us everything we needed to know. The apar**ent was sparkling clean and very well equipped. We were fortunate to have a 'room with a view ' of the magnificent duomo! The shared courtyard was lovely and we also felt very secure and safe in this location. These apar**ents are centrally located and literally steps from the duomo and excellent restaurants,as well as, a full service grocery store a block or two away where we were able to stockup and have items in the very large refrigerator in the unit. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Florence, and again cannot say enough about how kind and friendly the hosts were!

really nice place! liked everything about, super nice guys and services! located next to the dome. Appartements lovely, well equipped and clean! charming courtyard. Just an excellent place to stay, will come back.

Lovely place with a garden, safty, clean and cousy, warm enough in the winter, aquipped fully. Walking distance from all the atractions. Jessica is very welcoming and helpfull. I had wanderfull time and i will deffenatly come back!! I am strongly recommended on this place!!
