If you are more into quaint and charming, then try Hendersonville which is about 15 minutes away there is great shopping and restaurants there as well. Just a short drive to DuPont Forest in Brevard where you will find the most beautiful waterfalls Western North Carolina has to offer, with beautiful hiking trails galore or stop at the The Hub and Pisgah Tavern and rent a bike for some of the best mountain biking trails!
