This 3 storey red brick hotel sits on a prominent corner site within a 5 minute walk of the pier and promenade. The railway station is around a 20 minute walk, or a short hop door to door on the #77 bus which runs hourly. Chargeable parking is at the rear of the building. Opposite the hotel to the right is a Lidl supermarket and to the left a Morrisons daily - it's much nicer inside than the outside suggests! The staff are all happy in their job and very pleasant to deal with. My ground floor rear facing room was a quiet location for my 2 night stay, Odd though was the badly creaking bedroom floor and the full length of the corridor floor. My bathroom door stuck every time I used it and should have been flagged to maintenance by housekeeping - the previous guest's wet bath towel was still hanging on the back of the bathroom door when I checked in. Every time I entered my room I was greeted by a musty smell, although this disappeared once inside. The restaurant wasn't open on the Sunday night, with no pre-arrival warning. There weren't enough salt and pepper pots to ensure every table had a complete set at both breakfast and dinner. The breakfast orange juice is missing, with a watery tropical mix substituted. Other Premier Inns regained their orange juice supply months ago, so Felixstowe needs to catch up.
