The Rampant Horse Inn

Double room was spotlessly clean as was the en suite. Bed was comfortable. Staff are really friendly and helpful as are the locals using the pub. We only stayed one night but we do come to this area quite regularly so will stay here again. Location wise it’s 15 minutes to the coast at Wells

After an aborted mission to the races, because of the weather,we decided a few hours in the pub would be the order of the day.This pub was close to our B&B ,so thought why not . The staff were nice and friendly and so were the locals We sat and watched the racing ,had a few pints and ended up staying all day . Would definitely return.

The twin room was nice and roomy with clean ensuite shower room. The beds were comfy, we were warm, the heating was sufficient. Plenty of tea and coffee and cereal and orange juice left in the room. It was a steep climb up the stairs which put us off going down to ask for more milk which we could have done with for the cereal in the morning. Would have preferred some more healthy cereals than oversweetened ones and rice crispies. Would stay again for the Thursford Christmas Spectacular nearby. As others have said, the lady who we checked in with was not welcoming and did not show us to the room.

The accommodation is low budget and basic, and on that front it served its purpose for a one night stop over in Fakenham. Unfortunately, the welcome from the lady (Sue) downstairs in the pub itself, was far from being friendly and welcoming. I've never experienced such rudeness and for that reason I will never stay at the R.H again.
