This hotel is beyond overpriced. I thought it was going to be a luxory hotel stay with 5* service but it wasnt.
The room is as bog standard is it comes. The ocean view was really a partial view. The room smelt bad, like damp and the shower was the most complicated thing to work and the shower head could never be worked, only the rain shower option was doable.
Whats worse is the room we were given was above the end of the restaurant. The restaurant workers would smoke below our balcony and that would waft up to our balcony.
Moreover, it was a birthday stay and not once did the hotel do anything to recognize the birthday. Other hotels I have stayed in, in the past, would always provide complimentary cake or dessert or treats for a birthday. This hotel did absoultely nothing, despitw being informed.
I would love to know how they get away with charging 5* prices without the 5* service.
Highly dissappointing. The corridoors also are not kept up to standard and finding random holes in the ground was common.

酒店真的挺舊了，大概是90年代的了吧；尤其是洗手間，馬桶一按就壞。
酒店地方不大，能玩的也不多。去的時候因為颳風，岸邊也沒什麼項目。定了個環島遊，結果好多地方因為大風都關了，奇怪的是，户外的關了可以理解，博物館這種的為什麼也關
酒店早餐和晚飯都很一般般
如果要入住主島，從性價比上來説還不如希爾頓

Stayed 3 nights in overwater bungalow before cruise. Bungalow 5*; clean, luxurious and private. Staff super friendly.
Flaws: cocktails way overpriced (US$25-$30 ea), breakfast buffet good but polynesian dinner buffet horrible for price as few actual decent dishes, and construction in bungalow beside us(hammering all day).

The most amazing things about this resort are the Le Lotus restaurant (awesome) and the pools, especially the smaller adult-pool with swim up bar (really well designed!). It's also very close to the airport and perfect for a stop-over on your way to (or back from) Bora Bora or other islands.
The over-water bungalows are a good distance from the main resort, and the water is rough (not calm like the lagoons on outer islands). But they are clean and nicely appointed.
Service is lacking though. The concierge desk closes in the evening (not 24/7), the bell staff is disorganized, and the entire team from front desk to other depts suffers from poor inter-dept communication. Plus instead of golf carts they use small trucks to shuttle people & luggage to rooms. And the main restaurant is very "cruise ship" feeling, catering to masses, with lackluster service.
The Polynesian Show on Friday nights is awesome.

The grounds and setting are beautiful! The property needs an update but it was clean and comfortable. We went on to Four Seasons Bora Bora and we actually preferred lunch and dinner food to the Four Seasons. We’d definitely look forward to staying here again!

Top dive was wonderful to have on premises.
The breakfasts were great but dinners were very pricey.

The bathroom sink, floor, toilet and wall next to toilet all had ants. I showed the assistant manager just so he could see for himself. Also the shower drain backed up.
I was not given any refund on the room, only a free breakfast box.

We loved our stay at the Tahiti Intercontinental. We stayed for two nights immediately ahead of a cruise and one day following the cruise and enjoyed both visits. A perfect setting and we arrived at sunset - amazing views from the reception area. Good quality buffet style breakfast and enjoyed the open plan restaurant area and pool area including some shady spots in the grounds away from the fierce sun! Good quality and clean gym. Loved the grounds, pool and lagoon areas too. Our first time to Tahiti / French Polynesia and this hotel was a great start and end to a wonderful vacation.
