Riad Lyon-Mogador

This hotel was great. The decor and scent throughout was immaculate. The room was beautiful and clean. The staff were really helpful and attentive. We were given a WhatsApp contact as well as a list of recommended things to do/eat/see in the area. Breakfast was great in the rooftop each morning although it can get chilly in the morning. They didn't provide blankets however! I'd recommend this place if staying in Essaouria!

I can’t wait a minute to give this riad my review. We got a very professional and personal welcome by the owner. He told us about Essaouira and gave us his personal guide of sights, restaurants, activities and a number to communicate through if we had any further questions. The riad itself is beautiful on the inside with a very tasteful and individual for each room decoration. We specifically liked the rooftop where you could spend time during the day with a view over the medina and sea. Breakfast was served on the rooftop and was delicious with great coffee, egg, different bread and fruit, we only missed some kind of cheese. We also ate a 3 course home cooked meal in peace and quiet at the riad that was delicious. The best with the stay was the excellent, personal, professional and always smiling service, not only by the owners but also from all the staff we met.

We spent 1 night here for family vacation in Marocco (August, 2022). Our experience is wonderful. I do love the smell inside the Riad. Don't forget to bring a jacket since the Riad is near the beach. It is very cold. Everything is in walking distance from the Riad. City tax will be collected by the host, 25 MAD per person (more than 12 years old). Pros: 1. The host is very kind, nice, and helpful. 2. The location is inside the medina. It can only be reached by walking. If you come by car, you must park your car outside the gate. Mogador has 4 gates. Everything is in walking distance. 3. The breakfast is good. We have traditional Moroccan's bread, hot milk for the kids, jams, butter, fresh fruits salad, fresh orange juice, and croissant. 4. The room is as described. The size is okay. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The bathroom is clean with its amenities (towels, shampoo, soap, parfum. The hot water works perfectly. 5. The check-in is fast. They just need the adults' passports and fill a paper. 6. The rooftop is top. The view is amazing. 7. The Riad has 4 floors and everything's very beautiful, well-decorated, and cozy. 8. Wifi is accessible inside the building and free. 9. No need ac since the weather is cold, I am not sure in the winter. Cons: 1. Entrance accessible for wheelchair, but to get upstairs only by stairs. 2. The wifi isn't accessible on the rooftop terrace.

Much enjoyed the stay.very calme with beautiful view ,very friendly and kind staff .They take care of all details and provide you with all good plans and places you can try. My new favorite place in Essaouira ..

Beautifully renovated and seamlessly run by Camille & JC, the rooftop plays host to a gorgeous and substantial breakfast and both sea and medina views - perfectly located for exploring or just chilling out. We got a really comprehensive introduction to Essaouira from Camille which was wonderful and much appreciated by us first-timers. The bedroom (6) could be a little noisy at times from plumbing/neighbouring building work but this shouldn't be held against them. And the Les Sens de Marrakech diffusers are a wonderful touch! The whole Riad smells divine

Charming and cozy riad in a good location within the medina. Lovely hosts (professional and attentive service). Large terrace with fantastic views over the sea and the medina, perfect for feeling the vibe of Essaouira. Super delicious and complete breakfast (we stayed 4 nights and every day they served us something different). The family room was spacious with very comfortable beds (1 large double bed and 2 single beds each in their own room). WiFi available throughout the riad. Excellent price/quality ratio.

Amazing riad in the heart of the medina. Fantastic breakfast on roof top terrace with breathtaking views. Lovely clean room with a shower that actually worked properly. Hosts exceptionally nice, helpful and welcoming. Camille was great in organising our transfers and both she and JC gave us some great advise Thank you so much guys, we will be telling all our friends and family about you!

Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was delicious and plentiful. The heritage building is clean and well maintained. The hosts are knowledgable and help one find tours and activities. A very pleasant experience.

The suite we had was very comfortable and clean and wish we stayed longer. Breakfast was excellent and the hosts were kind and helpful.
