Riad Chbanate

A beautiful peaceful oasis. We absolutely loved our stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. Friendly helpful staff, wonderful rooms and the added bonus of the rooftop terrace. Delicious breakfast. We are already planning our return. Would highly recommend- the highlight of our family trip to Morocco.

We had such an enjoyable time here. Everyone is lovely, the Riad is comfortable, gorgeous and sort of quirky. The dinners we had in this Riad were amazing- actually I think the best food we had in Morocco - and the breakfasts were excellent. Loved all the fresh fruit. A perfect location, especially close to the Supratours bus station. Definitely recommended and would love to stay here again. Everything is very clean too. We might come back winter time just to experience it in a different season.

5 stars are not enough for this beautiful Riad, everything was perfect! I tried to find the tiniest imperfection but couldn’t Even before coming here the communication was easy & Hicham was very smart to understand what I wanted from the e-mails I sent. What we loved : - the check in was smooth and we were offered some tea -the turtle was so cute -my husband was happy with the big birthday cake and decoration of the room -the room was beautiful & cozy, I was hesitant to book cause of outside noise, but no we could hear nothing from outside it even rained on the last day and we didn’t know! - the bathtub is the star of the show, oriental decoration & candles I felt like I was in 1001 night fairytale. - there is a Jacuzzi at the terrasse, which is also perfect for sunbathing -the breakfast was nice. There was juice, fruits, msemen, eggs… -housekeeping service is done everyday with so much care -anything we needed we just asked them and they brought it to us with a big smile -all workers where very professional, helpful, with a perfect English, didn’t even ask for any name cause I felt they’ve been all on a 5 star level and very helpful Even the booking was so easy as on their website I could find a description for all their 7 rooms with pictures. We will surely come back here, it will be our go to when coming to Essaouira, we actually need to comeback as we still need to visite essaouira because we stayed mostly in our cute room and even added one more night.

Excellent stay and superb customer service. Our flight was very late arriving and we got there around half 11, but they made us tea and bought us cake in the lovely candlelit courtyard. They were also really helpful with finding the England euros football match on the tv and allowed us an early breakfast on the day of departure. It’s no wonder this place has such good ratings!

Group of 8 friends spent 2 nights here ( wishing it was more). Stunning rooms ( double bed and single bed) with great bathrooms with soaking baths. Fireplaces look great for cooler weather. Great breakfast…fresh fruits, pastries, crepes and omelettes. Staff are so helpful and can’t do enough for you. Location was good and slightly away from the ‘hustle’. It feels so relaxing and calm and love the open air courtyard. Beautiful vases of fresh roses. No lift here and stairs to top floors but not an issue for us. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

During our 27-day private tour of Morocco we stayed exclusively in high-end riads, and while some were bigger, more expensive, more glamorous, Riad Chbanate in Essaouira became one that stole our hearts. We had the privilege of getting the biggest room, located all by itself on top of the building. But what really made it an unforgettable experience was the people who work there and the atmosphere. I cannot describe it, but the place made us feel at home, not really wanting to leave, an undefinable attraction that induced a sense of belonging there, being at home. Breakfast is excellent, eggs are made to perfection. and the location is excellent. The biggest compliment I can make is that if I ever returned to Essaouira, I would not think of staying anywhere else than at Riad Chbanate.

What an experience, nice venue, rooms outstanding and the restaurant even beyond expectations all with fire place. Wow Service is 5 stars with all the persons very kind in particular at the reception. Prices affordable and quality/price very high. I do not find anything which can sound a complain. This is an example of great management.

We stayed here our first few nights in Morroco, and what a lovely way to be introduced to this beautiful country. We pre-ordered dinner our first night and were served by a warm fire. The staff was really helpful with recommendations and plans.
