Great Hotel! Very friendly staffs. I love the room so much!!!

Third visit to this hotel and as always greeted by all the staff in their for ever friendly smiling way ALL the staff are brilliant. The views from this hotel are spectacular. The buffet meals are good you can always find something to tickle your taste buds. There seem to be a lot of return customers like myself so this speaks for itself about the hotel and its staff. Hopefully will return once more.

This hotel has one of the best views in Menorca. Spacious wall to wall balconies. Staff are lovely and the hotel is spotless. It is easy to get to Mahon and Cala Fonts from here as they are within walking distance. Enjoyed this hotel before and would return.

We’ve just returned from a delightful stay at the Agamenon - to celebrate our Golden Wedding. The hotel was exactly right for us - with a lovely comfortable room, a beautiful and most interesting view from our balcony, delicious meals with a very wide choice of dishes which changed every day - and a very nice pool too. The entertainment on two evenings was much appreciated and I made good use of their little gym early every morning. We really enjoyed trips to several towns and sites, using the excellent local bus service. But what made it extra special for us was the kindness and dedication of the staff - Cili, Cristina and Sylvia on Reception, Alex, Jasmin, Vicente and Cleo in the Dining room and Harold - always smiling at the poolside or the bar. Plus all the ladies who kept our room immaculate and the hardworking staff who ensure the gardens and surrounding areas are really well cared for. Thank you - this was indeed a very special holiday which we will always look back on with the happiest of memories.

What a lovely discovery .My friend and i visited for 5 days to celebrate our big birthdays this year .Neither of us had been to the island before. Our rooms were lovely 211 and 212 with brilliant views, they were very clean ,lovely comfortable beds and nice sized shower and bathroom. The grounds and pool were very good, and some repair work was going on for the few tired areas. There was a strong bitterly cold wind so we couldnt take advantage of the pool or area. We had booked bed and breakfast, but as the food was so amazing we had 3 evening meals-choices and variety of naughty desserts at a reasonable price. The credit for our great holiday has to be your staff. Cilla arranged a bottle of fizzy with a lovely note from all the staff wishing us have birthdays. Harold in the bar- well what a great man-he said he gets up happy and stays that way, i loved trying out my few Spanish words to his enjoyment . I managed to thank the restaurant manageress and some of their chefs, far too enjoyable food. Our experience will always stay with us, thankyou everyone.

Before staying in Es Castell in April / May 2024 we emailed the Seth Agamenon in advance of our stay to see if we could visit to see one of their sea view rooms in person. We received a prompt reply from the hotel manager Ernestina Valentino explaining to visit them when on holiday and they would try their best which we duly did. The lady on reception (I think the ladies name was Cili) was very helpful and happily showed us two different rooms which was much appreciated. Whilst there we ordered some drinks from the friendly lady at the bar. The views across the water from the comfy seats in the lounge area were superb. Based on our experience we would definitely consider staying at this hotel in the future.

Excellent quality of service from reception staff, bar staff, waiting staff, pool staff and cleaners. En suite very good appeared to have been refurbished. The corridors and bedrooms could do with a bit of a refresh. Slightly disappointed with the very few areas to sunbathe on the morning due to the original siting of the pool and terraces meaning the sun was behind the hotel for most of the areas. The hotel is located in a lovely quiet, neighbourhood. All rooms have a sea view with nice big balconies. The rooms with the pool aspect are more overlooked by apartments but still peaceful overall. If needed during the night the air conditioning was quiet enough. The hotel and pool area were very peaceful throughout our week stay due to the type of guest that this hotel attracts. Ten to 15 minute’s walk to the nearest bars / restaurants and a further 5 minutes to lots more. Bus stop to Mahon at the top of the road for a 20 minute cheap ride into the capital or only 10 minutes to the road above Mahon marina.

We have stayed in Menorca many times including Ed Castell. First time for this hotel Although the room was small the bathroom was very good, the views were spectacular and the bed comfy. Breakfast was really good with good choices (had lunch a couple of times which was good but we never ate as there are lots of lovely restaurants to visit nearby at Cala Fonts) Hotel was bright and very clean and the pool was a good size to be able to swim Taxis were cheap and the water taxi to Mahón is worth doing We walked to Mahón a few times (if you are fit enough it’s doable) hotel was very relaxing and in a lovely location where you can watch the boats go by

The hotel is located in Es Castell - a small town just outside the capital Mahon. We had a sea view room overlooking the harbour with a stunning view. We booked half board for 10 nights with an evening meal. The hotel has a very nice pool area and staff are very friendly. The outside areas however are primarily given over to sunbathing from dawn to dusk. There are no nice areas for sitting out with a drink overlooking the fabulous views of the harbour if you don't want to sunbathe. The hotel claimed the walk into Mahon from the hotel was 15-20 minutes but I spoke to various peaple who had tested this and found, like ourselves this was unlikely given the walk was across uneven scrubland that joined up with the main road around half way. This took us well over 40 minutes. The restaurant seemed unable to deliver hot meals either at breakfast or for the evening meal where choices were limited with some strange menu combinations. Apart from the views and refurbished bathroom areas which are incredible the rooms are comfortable but dated and in need of general refurbishment. The laminate on the floor seemed to separate on a daily basis leaving large gaps between the planks. Room service was excellent but the rooms themselves were dull. Public transport in the area was intermittent and we had to travel into Mahon bus station to change in order to get anywhere on the island. The transport system seemed to shut down over the middle of the day and resulted in regular us of taxis with large variations in price for the same journey. Es Castell was reported to have a lively atmosphere around the historic square and a picturesque harbour at Cales Fonts. The whole area seemed deserted during the day and the walk to Cales Fonts was mainly down residential back streets with frequent dog fouling. The harbour area is really pretty at night with a wealth of nice bars and restaurants but we played safe and took a taxi back. Didn't stay for drinks too often in the hotel - which was fortunate as when we checked our bill we had been charged over 10 Euros for two small lime and sodas for eight of the days we were there. Overall disappointed with the location with the only saving grace the fabulous views.
