Artiem Carlos - Adults Only

The hotel was lovely and clean, the bed very comfy. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. No faults

10 years ago we remember saying why do people keep returning to the same hotel year after year. That was when we discovered the Artiem Carlos 3 and now we understand. The location is excellent as the hotel is just 10 to 15minutes from the airport in a taxi (20 Euros including tip - April 2024) with plenty of restaurants and shops within a 10 to 15 minute walk away (including a mini supermarket on the doorstep) and excellent public bus transport across the isand. The double rooms are spacious with plenty of storage and hanging space for clothes along with a fridge, a decent sized safe (no charge) and pool towels provided. The large walk-in shower had good water pressure and there was always hot water on demand. The bath towels were thick and fluffy. The views from the balcony of the double sea view rooms are fantastic and so relaxing with plenty of watercraft going back and forth from small fishing trawlers to huge cruise ships. The complimentary wifi worked well enough for web browsing and sending the occasional email. Our room was cleaned on a daily basis to a good standard by the friendly cleaners. We stayed on a bed & breakfast basis as there are so many restaurants close by to choose from. Breakfast is fairly extensive with a good selection of hot and cold options as well as an excellent cooking station where the chefs will make delicious fresh omlettes, toasted sandwiches and pancakes to order. To sum up, we keep returning to this hotel as it ticks most of our boxes i.e. great location, clean, quiet, comfortable and relaxing with fantastic staff. The only changes that would enhance our stay would be the addition of the air conditioning being switched on at the beginning of May in the rooms as the temperature was 26 degrees some days which was uncomfortable, a microwave in the restaurant as the food from the buffet is not very hot and more nightly evening entertainment (during our stay the entertainment was limited to one night). However the main reason we keep returning to this hotel are the fantastic staff, ALL of which are engaging, friendly and helpful and genuinely try to make your stay as memorable as possible.

Our 1st visit to this hotel, hopefully not the last. After a straightforward check-in, we arrived at our seaview room, which is fabulous. The room was a decent size with a really comfy bed with plenty of storage. The bathroom, thankfully, had a door, so was private, unlike some hotels nowadays. All areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean. The food was very nice but repetitive, in my opinion. All the staff throughout the hotel were kind, helpful & efficient. Regarding the sunbeds. There are notices stating they should NOT be reserved. Obviously, some people think they are far superior to others & rules do not apply to them. That being said, there were always sunbeds available, maybe not in your preferred spot, but surely you're on holiday to relax, no matter where the sunbed is.

As a regular visitor to the carlos I get fed up people writing reviews about the sun bed pirates These people lay in bed untill mid morning then expect to pick sun loungers in the prime spots The so called sun bed pirates don't reserve the sun beds but actually use them all day long If you want a prime spot get up instead of laying in bed half the day Yes I am one of the pirates

When the cleaner calls maintenance to repair a fault in your room you hadn't noticed, you know you are in a resort where people care. This is an excellent, friendly, quiet hotel with good facilities, friendly, helpful staff, high standards and in a quiet, but superb location. This was our first visit, but it's not difficult to understand why so many people we met have been visiting the resort for many years.

First impression modern clean, staff very friendly. Great location for walking to Mahon or bus if you prefer lovely walk into Cala Fonte beautiful views and harbour will definitely return.
