Sea Lagoon Health Resort

I had a wonderful time in Cherai…stayed in Sea Lagoon Health Resort in the month of September 2024 with my family. Pros are very homely atmosphere, excellent food, the infinity pool gives a different experience, and cons are need little more maintenance………. One highlight is the front office and service staff, they are really very helpful….. Must try item is their live seafood counter. You can choose very fresh fish from there. Kudos for the entire team for the memorable experience!!!!!!!

Although we have stayed at many places, Sea Lagoon is a special experience and we really enjoyed it. Nice place and comfort stay. Food rate is little high even food is tatsty. The service staffs are very good. The manager treated us very well. Over all good experience.

Stayed in the premium room 202or 203 One of the worst i have ever visited in my entire life. Urinal smells are on the way to the room passage- might be from the plate washing area designated Rats are running in the executive bar. Pool tiles are broken Restaurant pricing are too high. No one bothered even when we sitting in the restaurant for 15 minutes Overall we spoiled our two day holiday

We booked Sea Lagoon (We were a party of 7 = 4 A, 3 C) as a last minute choice, decided based on reviews and an Agoda offer. We saw the offer from Agoda and booked and then figured out that offer doest include children (we did enter all pax details).). And then it was back and forth btwn Agoda, Sea Lagoon and lost 2 hours in that process. We ended up paying extra for the children. Cherai beach is a picturesque narrow strip of land btwn backwaters on one side and narrow beach (20 ft width ) on the Arabian Sea side. The strip is 1-2 Km and has all varieties of stays and resorts. It doesnt have any big resort brand presence. Sea Lagoon has pool and rooms facing the back waters, and a hall and lawn/restaurant (non functioning) on the beach side. We need to cross the road (15 ft) to head from room to beach. Beach is mostly private, except for dogs! Rooms (and the hotel in general) show wear and tear, creaking doors, handles that fall... but adequate Restaurant/bar is adequate. Sufficent local cuisine options outside. Breakfast buffet is minimal - one kerala dish, one north dish Pool is quite dirty with leaves, flotsam... should be maintained better. Eg one cant see the floor, murky water Adequate parking for 6-8 cars Helpful staff. Overall, picturesque location, a bit over priced, could be better maintained. But option are limited at this location.

My first experience in this hotel was not wow. The way its showing in photos was live is completely different. the one room small reception the hotel is on right side of the rode so don’t expect the lake and beach in one hotel. The sea side area is just to sit there as it was showing in photo with food, some other stuff nothing like that is there. The food they serve only in pool side area. That too with limited options when we went there. I will more details describing in the following: Room: its old Property with some change in the interior. But actually the room and the washroom is very basic if you don’t add photos effects as they did in their original listing so you will find annoying once you enter the room. Service: i have reached there at 5 o clock so there was hardly time for service. I called them twice they were available in minutes so Its fine. Food: food is expensive number one, number two its not available what they have give in menu. For me that was more annoying then price. The quality of the food is not good even in some of other five start hotels i stayed during my karela trip. Bcoz i am from north the taste for me in everything is dull and just not good. So same things was here. Breakfast: horrible only omelette, puri with sabzi and fruit bananas, watermelon and one banana shake. Too much banana. Location: The location of this hotel is good. In left side there is sea and on right side there is lake. If you want sea book hotel on the left side on the road. Swimming pool: it was good i see lot of people enjoying in the pool. I hardly swing so can’t say much. Over all i will give this hotel 5/3 with cost i have paid.

The rooms were slightly dated but clean and the bed was comfortable. They have a nice swimming pool which opens early so you can swim before breakfast. Breakfast was good with lots of choice Indian and international. The beach is nearby. Staff were helpful
