Holiday Inn Chicago - Elk Grove, an IHG Hotel

it was slightly further away from the airport than thought but used the shuttle on the way back, hotel was clean and has a small gym, big pool and some outdoor facilities, the restaurant was quiet for dinner but pleasant

공항과 가까운 위치는 나쁘지않으나 이용기간중 정전 3번됨. 이중결제 문제도 있었다. 내부 시설은 나쁘지 않으나 가격대비 아쉬움. 요청하지않으면 방도 청소해주지않음

The Holiday Inn Chicago-Elk Grove wasn't my favorite hotel I've ever stayed in, but it was my LEAST favorite. The top highlight wasn't my unexpected roommate (the dead cockroach on the thermostat,) the mold growing on the walls in the bathroom, or the questionable smell. It was the other hotel guest who entered my room with a valid key at 1 am to find that it was already occupied. And then I heard from the hallway that the desk attendant did it again to another guest in another room. I understand that I used a hotel voucher provided by an airline and I may not be the highest priority guest. But this experience was the absolute f*cking worst and that doesn't even address the safety and security concerns of a stranger gaining access to the room of a solo traveller in the middle of the night. 0/10 stars. Terrible, unacceptable experience.

The hotel was quiet and the bed seemed cleaned. That is where all positives end. This place is a dump. Believe the reviews. It is in a very bad state. I stepped off the elevator to a torn up concrete floor with exposed conduit. No warning at all. I only stayed here due to a missed connection/airline error. United provided a voucher and this was closest. I’m sure I waited at least 1/2 hour for the shuttle. I’m glad I’m not sleeping on the floor at O’Hare. Now to review the airlines!

Avoid this hotel at all costs. It is in a sad state of disrepair and they could not care less. First, shuttle driver put 18 people in a 12 seat van from the airport. He drove aggressively in a snowstorm, at one point driving over a curb. The elevator doesn't work (no signs either, you figure it out when it doesn't move). An older couple in front of me had to climb 3 flights of stairs with luggage. When I get to the room, it's 61 degrees inside and the heater took 15 minutes to heat up the room. The best part is when I tried to shower in the morning, there's no hot water. A call to the desk and I was told "let it run for 15 minutes and it will get warm." Really? Wow. I had a shuttle to catch and could not wait for 15 minutes. Stairwells are filled with random trash, bathtub had obvious mold and our 5am shuttle back to the airport was late and the van was very cold. Unbelievably bad experience. If you book here, you will regret it.
