"As a Hilton Honors member, I expect a certain level of customer service, especially when reporting an issue that could affect other guests. Before my two-night stay, I encountered what appeared to be a pricing error during the booking process. I contacted John, the general manager of the hotel, to make him aware of it, but his initial response was simply to ask whether the rate I thought I had seen was non inclusive of taxes. I replied with a detailed explanation showing that the issue had nothing to do with taxes and that the booking system had overcharged me.After taking the time to clearly document the problem and respond to his email, I never received another response. The general manager completely ignored my follow-up email. Whether or not the pricing issue could be resolved, I expected at least the courtesy of an acknowledgment or explanation. The hotel itself was fine, it’s new and clean, but the lack of professionalism and follow-through from management left a very negative impression. Good customer service isn't just about handling problems perfectly—it's about communicating with guests and treating legitimate concerns with respect. As a frequent business traveler to the El Paso area, I have plenty of hotel options. Based on this experience, I will likely choose to stay elsewhere on future trips."
