Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge

We heard about Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge from friends and we were glad that we decided to stay here. Our only regret was that we did not stay more than our 2 nights there. It was a great place to launch into Krueger National Park. The meals that our hosts cooked were excellent. And because we were headed into the park very early in the morning, they packed us a cooler with breakfast and lunch to enjoy in the park. We especially enjoyed sitting on our back patio and listening and watching the animals in the park.

We loved it here, our favourite stay of the holiday. Chose it for the proximity to the Kruger gate, but also the views out over the river. Everything about this stay was fantastic. The couple that run the site were both lovely, super friendly and would do anything for you. Check in was prompt, and we were shown to our river front large tented room. Very happy with the room, plenty of space, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, and even free drinking water provided. There is a water shortage at the moment so we were careful with our usage. The little pool was great to just relax after a long day of self-driving in Kruger. There is an honesty bar which was handy, although you can also bring in your own drinks too. Each evening they did a wonderful braai which was presented as a buffet. I had let them know in advance that I was veggie, and had never expected to have a vegetarian food item per se, but they surprised me with some veggie fillets both nights which was such a nice touch. Even without those, there was easily enough veggie food what with the buffet options, and my husband loved the meat from the braai. It was all very relaxed, sat out around the campfire before and after eating. And we were lucky to see the hippos come out onto the bank at night, the owner had a powerful torch to help us see better. One hippo had an absolutely tiny dot of a baby hippo with it, so lovely to see. After we went to bed we'd hear the hippos making their funny barking noises, and I got up and could see them right by the fence outside our room. We also saw various elephants going past right by the property's fence, 2 of whom then waded through to the other side of the river. Also giraffe, buffalo, impala, water buffalo, crocodiles and even an african wildcat! Such a shame we only had 2 nights here, would absolutely recommend to anyone, thank you so much for looking after us.

Excellent place to stay, Staff were very Knowledgeable friendly and helpful. The Food was delicious, and plentiful. There were some animals that came close to the fenced off area in front of the Units and viewing deck. the Hot Water in the shower was not great.

Had a lovely stay at this property - nothing is too much, hosts very friendly and knowledgeable. Accommodation and facilities were above expectations and the location was fantastic. Would definitely stay again.

Our second visit to Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge and just as enjoyable as the first. The whole team, from the owners down, provide an unforgettable experience in this small piece of South African paradise. The lodge is feels like home in the best possible way. We will definitely be back.

Our third stay at the lodge. It remains to us a wonderful "stopover" when we visit the Kruger Park. A few hundred meters from Crocodile bridge gate with real tented camp facilities on the water looking into the Kruger. Many wildlife sightings from our tent veranda! Great friendly staff with special mention of Geyer and Natascha, our hosts for the 4 nights. Well done! Every evenings' meal was wonderfully varied and delicious
