We (me and my pensioner aged Mum) stayed here for three nights in March 2023 for a short break in Edinburgh. I'd never actually heard of a Premier Inn Hub before, but thought surely it can't really be that different, and I was right. The location is just right. Not directly in the city centre, but not so far out it's not practical. It's possible to walk there from the far end of the main Princes Street probably in about 10-15 minutes, but Haymarket station is literally a couple of minutes walk down the road. The hotel is on a quiet side street, with beautiful Georgian architecture on both sides. The reception area, bar and eating are are all together on the ground floor, and a door leads from there to the lifts to the rooms. The rooms are available in two types, standard and bigger. The standard room is smaller than your average Premier Inn room, and the bed is against the wall, so two people in one bed might find this interesting! (toss a coin to see who gets the wall side of the bed!) but the bigger rooms have more space around the bed. The bathroom is partitioned from the bedroom part by a part glass wall (again interesting, but not a a big deal) and had a walk in shower, basin and loo. What else do you need? There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, but 24 hour drinks machines are available in reception to make hot drinks to take up to your room if you wish. Hot food is available in the bar area. We had the margarita pizza on our first night and it was fine. Breakfast is served down there too, and is a self serve continental offering, with cereal, juice, toast, fruit, porridge and pastries and costs £5 per person. Buses to and from the city centre stop on the main road just around the corner, and Edinburgh Zoo and Murrayfield stadium can easily be reached from here by catching a bus outside Haymarket station, which as I mentioned before is just a short walk away. Trams also go to Edinburgh Airport from there. so it's ideally located and easy to get to on public transport if you don't drive. If you want a clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced hotel that's not slap bang in the busy city centre I heartily recommend it
