I was a little hesitant to stay here after I'd read some recent reviews. I travel quite a bit and have stayed in a lot of hotels all over the world--from roadside trucker motels to fancy resorts. That said, I have not even the smallest negative thing to report about this hotel. The staff was INCREDIBLY friendly, thoughtful, polite, and kind. Even as we were sitting in the dining room the next morning, a random employee made suggestions about what his favorite items were from the buffet and he wasn't wrong. If they have the little mini quiches with spinach, they are good, get them! The entire hotel smelled fresh and clean when we walked in, check-in was fast. The rooms were just as described. Sure, some of the in-room furniture was likely on the older side, but everything functioned as it should and everything was sparkling clean including the bed linens, the kitchenette in our room, and the bathroom. The bathroom water pressure was great. The pool was nice and clean. I have a small dog and he was able to stay with me which was lovely. The grounds are adequate for taking dogs on short walks. The free breakfast was well stocked with options and the dining room was so cozy with the holiday decorations and tree and even holiday movies playing. Overall, my quick stay visiting friends was made extra special by staying at the Residence Inn in Greenbush--I have stayed at other places while visiting these friends, but from now on, I'm exclusively staying here. The location is so convenient, it's right off the highway but on a woodsy road where you can't hear any traffic. The neighboring businesses are tucked in an industrial park, so it's really quite and low key. The only thing that was lacking were clothes hangers in the closet. Our room only came with one. Not a huge deal since we only stayed overnight.
