Kolokotronis Hotel & Spa

A lovely weeks stay during the first week of season with Jet2. One bedroom apar**ent was very spacious and well fitted out. Kitchen had a large fridge, and full size cooker. Apar**ent was cleaned every day. Both air conditioning units worked. Spacious terrace. We were aware of hotel being set on hillside; not an issue for us, but good to be aware of. Reception staff extremely friendly and helpful and greeted us warmly. We used the swimming pool once, staff were friendly and offered us glass water and brought menus out. We didn’t eat at the hotel, as we preferred to walk into Stoupa, where there was a good choice of tavernas. Large supermarket below hotel with good range of products, and bus stop and pharmacy very close. Would recommend and hope to return. Stoupa is a very scenic area.

It was our second visit to the Kolokotronis hotel and once again we were delighted. The staff are all friendly and do an excellent job in looking after the guests. The restaurant is excellent and it is a delightful experience dining outside with such wonderful views. The pool area is spotless with plenty of shade and as you set up on the beds straight away you are offered cold drinking water followed up by excellent service. There are a superb choice of excellent restaurants within walking distance in Stoupa as well as lovely beaches. This hotel has wonderful views but the downside is that it is built on a steep hillside which does not suit everyone if you don’t have a car. Taxis are available for trips to Stoupa and beyond.

We have just returned from a fantastic week staying at this super place. The accommodation is all set out separately like individual bungalows with most of them being locate up several steps or fairly steep slopes wouldn’t be great for the less mobile. Fully equipped kitchen, double bed and bathroom with a decent shower. The view is amazing. There is also a iron and hairdryer provided. There is a big supermarket located at the bottom of the slope and it stocks everything you could possibly need and is open early till late. Breakfast at the hotel was ok, however with the super market being so close and so fully stocked and the kitchen area of the apar**ents be so good with a full size oven, grill and hob if we were to go again we wouldn’t have breakfast included. We had one evening meal at there hotel and this was lovely. The pool area is lovely and clean. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Quite possibly the best family holiday. Previously stayed in a villa in Stoupa twice before and the quality of the Kolokotronis was just as good. Layout, cleanliness, service from all staff, food, pool, view, walk to beaches, I could go on forever but all were 10/10.

Beautiful and peaceful location, and the service and food were excellent. Loved the pool and couldn’t believe how quiet it was (assume most people went to Stoupa’s busy beaches every day). I also must mention the staff who who were consistently helpful and friendly. I couldn’t recommend Hotel Kolokotronis more highly.

We are regular visitors to Greece and so are used to poor water pressure, barely warm water, basic kitchen facilities and dodgy air conditioning. Koloktronis is the exception to all of the above! The Kolokotronis barbecue night - very tasty and plentiful food. The pool is pleasant (and child friendly and never too busy). All the staff we met are lovely (and very kind when we had to return home earlier than expected). It also has an excellent supermarket on the doorstep, a bakery a short walk away, a lovely village, great food and a sandy beach and very clean water. Patrikos for entertainment and cocktails, Stoupa restuarant for food - we loved it. Only downside was that the higher level apar**ents are probably a bit challenging for people with pushchairs or mobility issues.

This is a lovely hotel and very good value. The staff are excellent and very friendly, the site is kept clean and tidy. Don’t worry if you’re self catering, a supermarket is next door and very handy. Plus so many great restaurants a short walk away! The pool is pleasant and food pretty good. The only minor comments are that breakfast does get a little boring after a few days. The site is also on a steep hill so not suitable for those with mobility issues. We loved it though! It’s a real gem of a hotel in a stunning place. Thank you for a great holiday :-)

Stayed here for 10 days in June. Lovely appar**ent, spotlessly clean & roomy and a lovely balcony with great views of the sea & mountains. The staff were very friendly, always smiling & supplied us with ice cold water when we were at the pool. We had problems late one night with power & a member of staff came out to assist us.

Lovely clean hotel, peaceful location, great views and great facilities, very tasty and great value bbq on a Tuesday and an extensive daily food and drink menu. We were welcomed on our arrival with home made lemonade which was delicious. Apar**ents are spacious, clean and well equipped for self catering and not over looked by other apar**ents. Lovely staff very friendly and attentive. Please make sure you are aware of the location before booking as the hotel is situated on a hillside and there are many steps and steep slopes to the apar**ents. You need to take your own luggage from reception to your apar**ent up these steps! In my opinion the hotel would warrant 5 stars if a service was provided to take luggage to and from the apar**ents.
