Hotel Pax

No lock on bathroom. Was made to do work in the basement. The knock on the door was unexpected and simply rude. There were girls doing a pillow fight down the hall. Everyone was climbing out the window at stupid o clock. Food was mid. Anyhow, the lady was very kind. She was lovely the staff are cute. Room was tidy. Was clean. Solid experience.

Nice stay, personel was attentive on the fact we had a small kid with us and prepared our breakfast table accordingly on day 2 :-). Lots of choice for breakfast. Temperature in the bathroom could not be lowered so was a bit high for me and loss of energy.

I went with my school including 3 teachers and the hotel owner is horrible to kids I’m 15 and some of the school are 14 or 16 and we had our window open as the rooms are very hot and fans are not provided in a room with 6 people and she shouted at us for having it open then didn’t knock but used the master key and walked straight in the room of 6 underage girls getting changed swung the window shut took the key then stopped us from going to speak to our teachers while crying then threatened to kick us out

This is a family run hotel and congratulations to the owners. Upon arrival I got a very warm welcome. Everything was prepared for our arrival and we really felt we were welcome and we just had to ask if anything. We got access to the garage for our bikes and this also was no problem at all. The room was funky, very spacious and the bathroom was like a ballroom. Breakfast was excellent. For a 3* we got an extensive buffet wit some very good bakery products. If in the region again, would make a detour to stay here again.

Stayed with a group of friends touring the WW1 battlefields. The hotel is right in the centre of town and very easy walking to the town square and many bars and restaurants. Rooms are modern and airy but i had a strange arrangements of three single beds, shower worked well and had a good rest. Only minor point is that the hotel is not manned 24/7 although security of access was through room keys.

The rooms were comfortable enough - the usual triumph of design over practicality. Minimalist with little storage space, and in our room a step right in the middle of the room that wasn't marked in any way and was easy to miss with the beige floor coverings. Shower was also slippery, with no mat. The main problem was the mosquitos - I suppose it was the wrong time of year, but many of our group had the same problem and it took a day or two to figure out that these were happening in our rooms, not outdoors (we killed a couple of the insects in the breakfast room as well). I asked at reception about spraying the rooms and they said they had devices in the ceiling that dealt with the problem! The small bar was never open - there was never more than one person on duty at reception and usually no one at all. On a couple of occasions members of our party had difficulty gaining admission when returning in the evening after 9pm, because of locked doors. The best thing about the hotel was the breakfast, which was plentiful and good.
