Pros- Staff mainly nice, cleaning staff lovely and did a great job Microwave in the room Supermarket and metro walking distance Bed was comfy Cons We really didn’t have a good experience overall here - the room is not very practical. It’s a studio (so the idea is that you don’t have to eat out) but there is nothing to clean the surfaces with (room is serviced daily but no surface cleaner/washing up liquid to keep it clean), no hooks on the wall to hang things up, weird lights hanging down into your face that we kept bumping into, gaudy decoration. The window was falling out when we tried to open it- a hazard with kids. They did kindly offer to move us but we were settled in by the time this became obvious. Worst of all, my autistic son had a meltdown at the reception and was crying out. Instead of recognising that my child clearly has special needs, a male staff member ((? The manager) came and told us off, saying they had training and he needed to be quiet, inflaming what was already a really stressful situation. While I was trying to calm my son down (so he would be quiet) he stood close by glaring at me and then preceded to berate me again. This just made the situation so much worse and I’m sad that he reaction to a mother trying to calm a stressed child with special needs was to make me feel more ashamed and stressed. Perhaps their next training should be communication and special needs awareness. For this reason mainly, we will not be coming back.
