Sundestin Beach Resort

The one good thing about this property is the view of the gulf, and the front desk personnel. The condo was worn, but everything in the condo itself was clean. The biggest issue was construction was being done on the balconies, and the outdoor pool was closed. Had no idea that this was going on until we were woken up by construction noise that went on for most of the day. We booked through a different site that did not mention the construction on the booking. After several hours on the phone that site did provide a partial refund to be used for another stay. The hallway on the upper floor was dark and there was a smell of mold in the carpet. Because the garbage chute was blocked, garbage was left by occupants in the hallway. The tub in the unit did not hold water, bulbs were burnt out , no hair dryer, and the ice maker in the refrigerator did not work. If you consider this property, be aware that the beach chair vendor has priority for the unobstructed view of the gulf. Others that did not want to pay, but sat in front of the chairs were shooed off. Read all communications very carefully, and avoid paying top dollar for your stay until the construction is complete.

1 I was not advised of construction before booking my non refundable stay. The hotel is outdated, pool broken and unit filthy. I have sent a complaint. Their idea of a solution was to come mop the floors! I e already MOVED IN!!! Please look elsewhere

We had a great stay and everything was very enjoyable. We bought some hoodie shirts at the Sea Store. The man who waited on us was Nick. He was very friendly and helpful. We would recommend everyone going to the lobby and checking out the store.

A beautiful and very clean cozy condo with absolutely outstanding views of the gorgeous Destin beach!! Sitting on the balcony gives you breathtaking scenery! I highly recommend this one! You will not be disappointed.

My husband and I stayed in Unit 612 for 5 days and has the most Amazing stay. The condo is modern and updated and the views are phenomenal. Unit 612 is a corner unit, we were able to see the sunrise and the sunset from the balcony, the beach views are breathtaking and one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever see. The condo is comfortable and well taken care of. The beds were some of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on while on vacation. The building itself felt very safe, there was always a security presence and we had plenty of parking available to us. I would highly recommend staying in Unit 612.

They advertise a smoke free resort but the people in the deck below our smoked the whole week. We reported it 5 times and they said it would be taken care of but they never did anything about it. They had a paper that you sign saying you won’t smoke in room or on balcony. I don’t understand why they didn’t enforce this.

Every room is different so be specific about what your desires are. Amenities are great! We have been staying for over 20 years and do not own a condo. Sundestin is close to restaurants, shopping, the boardwalk, and anything we’ve ever wanted or needed. There is a bar/grill, a very convenient store that has coffee, a cooler of drinks and ice cream, items you may have forgotten to bring. There are washers and dryers at the end of each hall and some rooms even have them in the bathrooms. The rooms we have carefully chosen are laid out and take it vantage of every space, and are nicely decorated. We always stave, beachfront and balconies are spacious and private.

I recently stayed at here and it was not a nice hotel room. The furniture was old and dirty. There were two toilets and one was clogged. The dishwasher was out of order and the mattress was so old there was a sinkhole on one side enough for a very very very large person. The outer room tv only had sound using my Disney acct but the channel died 15 min into the show. The bedroom tv was not hooked up to the internet/cable tv. We gave up. We were only there for 3 nights. Thank goodness. They offered to fix the toilet and send a tech up to fix the tvs. It was not worth the trouble. The whole room was a disaster.

This was our 2nd year staying here. Last year, our condo faced the gulf directly. The bedroom was right inside the door. I was looking for a unit with patio doors in the bedroom. We found a beautiful unit to stay in on VRBO. Condo #1617 was fully updated, nicely furnished, a comfortable king-size bed, and 2 patio doors out to our balcony. Our view was to the west with beautiful sunsets. We could see the water and the city. Beach service, using an umbrella and chairs is an additional cost. Chairs at the pool are first come, first serve. We love all that Destin has to offer and would love to stay in this same condo again.
