Hotel Royal

I witnessed the incident in which the whole family that runs this hotel insulted the French client with incredible violence before kicking her out. I had never seen such aggressiveness when the client politely asked if a better located room was available. unfortunately this is not the first time that this behavior has occurred in this hotel…

Horrendously rude staff. We felt intimidated for no reason. We are well dressed top professionals who were there for a medical conference. The receptionist staff lady made rude faces when she heard we are from the UK. She continued in a rude manner throughout stay. The restaurant staff were rude also. Horrid stay. Never again and we told our colleagues do not stay there.

We have stayed at The Royal before, the hotel has been upgraded to 4 Star and the interior has been revamped to a very high and pleasing standard, without taking away the old charm of the place. Wonderful Courtyard has been created and the new breakfast room has very nice interior fittings. We always get a warm welcome from the family who have ran the hotel for four generations and now a 5th generation has arrived. Congratulations to you all at The Royal from Paul & Zoe.

Goof breakfast and quite comfortable beds. However: unwelcoming (even rude) staff; heating turned off 16 hours per day, and totally overpriced. Hallways and bathroom in great need of refurbishing. The only aspect in which this hotel is four stars is the price they dare charge.

We had booked a weekend stay including breakfast and dinner, but forgot to inquire about providing a vegan alternative for one in our group. Our mistake - so we asked upon checking in whether a vegan alternative could be provided. Instead of being helpful (or telling us about the vegan restaurant which was less than 5 minutes away on foot), the receptionist was incredibly condescending, telling us that it was our fault and asking whether vegans 'at least eat fish'. We said that we'd take care of our dining ourselves and that was that. Or so we thought. We chose to seek restaurants for eating together instead, but wanted to have breakfast together at the hotel. Upon trying to have breakfast, said Vegan was immediately sent back to the room for allegedly dressing inappropriately (long pants and tanktop), and only allowed back wearing a T-Shirt by that same receptionist. Said woman then asked, when checking out, whether it all was to our liking and was told that no, we'd never received such a rude welcome. This prompted her to shout, at deafening volume (the other guests at breakfast could surely attest to this) that it's not 1945 anymore and that she won't let some Germans boss her around. Room was alright and clean, the location is nice, but all that isn't worth dealing with an individual which clearly doesn't belong in the service industry.

Encore une fois un très beau séjour à l’hôtel Royal. Les chambres sont très belles, le déjeuner est délicieux et très varié, l’accueil est parfait, la patronne et son frère sont deux gentilles personnes à l’écoute du client bref nous ne sommes jamais déçus par cet hôtel

Cet hôtel familial offre, dans cette station balnéaire, un cadre extrêmement agréable et soigné, fruit d’une rénovation minutieuse et très loin de l’hôtellerie standardisée des grandes chaînes. Une literie extrêmement confortable et une salle de bain avec baignoire (ce qui est rare). Des produits Nuxe qui sentent bon. Un petit déjeuner plus que parfait (sauf le café qui mériterait mieux). Un rapport qualité prix tout à fait intéressant. Notez néanmoins l’absence de parking privé et donc les difficultés habituelles de trouver un emplacement et de payer la redevance. Une adresse à recommander.

Mooi hotel, wel wat kleine kamers naar onze mening. Eten 's avonds is niet te kiezen, je eet wat de pot schaft. Ik moet wel zeggen, wat de pot schaft was perfect van kwaliteit. Het ontbijt is enorm uitgebreid. De dame van het hotel komt voor sommige mensen streng over, voor ons was ze correct en rechtvaardig. Ze werkte haar zolen van haar schoenen stond steeds klaar en gaf ook extra info als je ernaar vroeg. Leuk hotel vlakbij de zee.

Das Hotel Royal liegt zentral aber ruhig nur 150 m vom Strand entfernt. Also Top-Lage. Empfang sehr freundlich. Zimmer sehr sauber, modernes Bad. Sehr leckeres, großes Frühstücksbuffet. Öffentliche Parkplätze in der Nähe ausreichend vorhanden. Wenn wir wieder nach De Panne kommen, sicher ins Hotel Royal.
