Everything was great except that there was no quilt in the room and the blanket in the cupboard was more like a sheet so my partner and I didnt sleep well as so cold with the aircon on. Otherwise the room was lovely and very happy.

The location is good, close to the pier and there are many restaurants nearby.

The hotel is easy to find. A taxi from the airport to the hotel is about $ 30. The little girl at the front desk is Malay but speaks Chinese very well. It helped me a lot. I recommended Chinese restaurants and lots of fun places. The tickets to the attractions, because the temporary decision to go to see the jumping crocodile, the little girl was afraid that I would run a trip to help me book tickets, the service is really good. The hotel facilities are also good. Our family of three with two large beds slept comfortably. The hotel is in the center of Darwin, it is very convenient to go everywhere, and I will choose this hotel if I have the opportunity,

This hotel is comfortable, with large rooms, good air conditioning (important for Darwin!) and great water pressure with no lack of hot water. It is however a bit tired especially in terms of the bathroom with a shower over the bath, which is difficult for older people with joint problems. It could benefit from some basic refurbishment. The large foyer could also be made look more interesting as it is somewhat bare. We were also disappointed there was no restaurant or bar on the premises as it meant we had to go out into Mitchell Street, which seems to have bars and eateries more targeted to a younger crowd.

The location is very good, looking west to see the most beautiful sunset and sunset in Darwin, the facilities are complete, **, Italian, Chinese, swimming pool..., the front desk service is warm and thoughtful, the room is clean and tidy, facing the lagoon pool, the indoor area is big enough. The disadvantage is that the door from the room into the bathroom is too thick, every time the in and out will automatically close, trouble and close the door momentarily loud. When the checkout, I knew that the mineral water in the minibar was charged, but housekeeping and the waiter who checked the minibar entered the room and said it was free. As a result, four bottles were charged 24 Australian dollars when the checkout was done. I was too lazy to talk to the front desk about the theory. I felt that I was also seeing people. The nice guy takes the money. It is best not to include breakfast in the reservation, because there are several fixed meals (see photo) with breakfast. Firstly you need to understand, this is an older Motel. If this Motel were anywhere else in Australia, it would be advertised as a 'boutique' Motel. My point is, older does not mean neglected. In fact, these folks have done very well maintaining the property and rooms that - though those 70's ring loud, its quaint! Clean! Tidy! And QUIET! Oh, so quiet! Noise is one of my bugbears when I travel and it was the lure of quite that sent me here - and Paravista delivered! NO traffic noise, NO noise from other rooms, NO noise from neighbouring properties, just quite. * Rooms are sort-of updated - Beds are new and comfy, bathroom is 70's looking, but clean and serviceable. * There is no cooking facilities in the room, but there is a communal kitchen. * However, the staff more than willing to give me a Microwave for the room to compliment the Tea and Coffee making facilities. * Aircon worked well and the balcony was a nice touch. * I didn't use the pool, but it looked great! We stayed First Floor, Room 7. I lost my pic of our room, but the pics of the newer beds are standard. If I have to Motel in Darwin again, I will definitely stay here.

Unbelievable hotel from the time we checked in to our departure. Couldn’t fault anything staff are amazing from the front of house and the back of house. Clean rooms, house keepers are wonderful checking if we needed anything every day. H on Mitchell is our Hotel of choice when we holiday in Darwin which we have for many years.it’s location is great close to everything and walking around We loved the new look pool/ bbq area would have been great to have added a spa. Unfortunately this holiday we had booked 1 year in advance and requested a room for the balcony that faced on Mitchell Street but got one facing elsewhere. We fully recommend this hotel to family and friends (so do yourself a favour and stay in this hotel) the restaurant and bar are great friendly staff Well done H on Mitchell 👍we will be back for Christmas/ New Year
