Dormero Hotel Darmstadt

Darmstadt|1.26km from city center
German hotel chain that we had the great pleasure to try for the first time in this occasion. The Dormero Hotel Darmstadt has undoubtedly been one of the best hotels we have stayed in during our last trip to Germany. Modern, excellent rooms, competitive price, outer position compared to the city centre but well connected by public means (and in the period of 9-Euro Ticket was really great) I can absolutely recommend this hotel in every respect. Booked via Expedia at a cost of just less than €58 for one night, two people, except breakfast, I must say our stay was exceptional. Reception open only from 13 to 23 but with staff present at our arrival (on the first afternoon) which gently assigned us a room at the latest floor, just as required. New room, furnished in ultramodern style and tasteful with colors on white/red/black, bathroom with shower and hairdryer, large TV, minibar with some free drinks welcome, camera lights exchange device capable of modifying the environment to your pleasure, large bed (extremly convenient), air conditioning, safe, Wi-Fi and total silence throughout the structure. There is free outdoor parking or, if you prefer, a underground garage (not cheap, however, €15 per day). The breakfast room (which we have not done) and a tea with a snake inside are present at the ground floor, near the reception. The modern style, the general organization and the quality of the structure and rooms have made us fully satisfied.

At 100 hotel nights per year, a hotel must be highlighted especially so I take the time to review. The Jungstil Hotel in Darmstadt has managed to do so. However, because it is the worst hotel I ever had in Germany. And that is with 4 stars. But only once in the row that I experienced this week there: Check-in: The reception is only occupied hours. Really now? At a 4 star house and a room price of €148.00 per night. But fortunately I travel at a time when the reception is occupied. Well, it should be at least 17.45 lt. hang at the entrance door. Unfortunately the door to the hotel does not open. Nobody there. But fortunately there is the check-in machines next to the door. This also finds my reservation. Good! Unfortunately, too early. Because despite confirmed reservation, I will only be asked for a credit card which the machine rejects in the next step. Do nothing: I have 3.5 minutes later I'm unravelable, since the machine rejects every card. Spoiler Alarm: as I know at checkout next morning, the credit card request should not have come at all when confirmed reservations. I find a sign on the hotel door that is pointed to a 24x7 accessibility call number, traveling at a time when the reception is not occupied. Now everything will be fine! I thought: shipping to a mobile box without an advertisement. However, leave a message in the hope, but still to come to my room. I could have saved myself. I'm still waiting for the call today. Fortunately, after some time, a already check-in hotel guest with key card comes. After him I'm sleeping into the hotel lobby. And see, there is a key card with my name on the tressen. So I have room 246. Ph, Check-in would have been done. Wi-Fi: Finally on the room, quickly select Wi-Fi to make the last WebEx session with a customer. But stop: I couldn't tell me how to get to the password protected hotel Wi-Fi. There was nobody at the reception. But you're professional: Username and password are certainly some combination of my name and the room number. There is a lot missing. After some time I find a book with the information about the hotel. It also describes how to get into the Wi-Fi. It's just a pity I need to get down to the lobby to print a ticket on a printer available there. So drag, down, print again and then finally log in to the Wi-Fi. Room status: At first sight everything is okay. After at least this. But when I make my bed, and put the cleanly stoned heads on the headpart side, I will quickly get to know what to do that tower. He should cover the quite broken headpart. See photo. Sit, six! Breakfast: The small hotel Buchlein had already been with Wi-Fi

Welcome Hotel Darmstadt City Center
4.1/523 avaliações
Over the years I have visited Darmstadt several times and never stayed in such a nice hotel in the city. Welcome Hotel is a 5 minute walk from city centre, 15 minute walk from TUD and 25 minute walk from the train station. Great location, wonderful garden view, a rich breakfast as well as a nice Bistro and a friendly service. Note, however, that the hotel is very strict with C/I time.
Holiday Inn Express Darmstadt

Overall, it's a good, modern hotel with the usual features. The only negative is the rooms are small, which is unfortunately typical of European hotels. What makes the Holiday Inn Express outstanding is the staff. We dealt with Jessica and Alex, both of whom provided a lot of help. We don't speak German, so their assistance with getting cabs, making restaurant reservations, and getting a sim card working in our phone was invaluable.
IntercityHotel Darmstadt

Intercity Hotel is a chain hotel, many German cities have, most of them are next to the city train station. Hotel service is very good, the wind is big that day, and it is possible that the door is always ringing because of the train. A girl went out alone, a little afraid, called the front desk, let the window of this floor close, the front desk also came to check soon. This time I sent a ticket to Dame which can be used in Dame.

Everything from check-in to provision of information, getting a coffee at the bar, room, breakfast and storing the luggage over the day was excellent. The (standard) room was extraordinarily quiet during the night, the windows do a good job in keeping the boise of the street outside. The bathroom is small, but sufficient. The desk is fine for working with a laptop and/or checking papers, and the wifi works well, too. The breakfast convinces with tasty breadrolls and jam as well as fresh vegetables and fruits, the cereals are good as well. As a tea lover, I was satisfied with the selection of teas provided (even though it was just one black tea). The location of the hotelis good, too: it is in walkable distance from the train station and the city centre and close by a tram station.
