Travelodge Bristol Cribbs Causeway Hotel

This hotel has been upgraded and the furnishings seem bright and fresh, giving a pleasing ambiance. The bed is very comfortable, the room itself and the bathroom are beautifully clean, with space and convenient storage places — hanging and shelving. The welcome is really warm and attention is commendable, never intrusive. The location is very convenient for the M5 motorway, Cribbs Causeway shopping and bus routes into Bristol.

Booked this Travelodge to stay overnight for a wedding we were attending at Bristol Golf Club. Allocated room 24, checked the mattress topper and as you can see from photo 1, a very big stain. Was then allocated another room, before giving us the key, the supervisor checked this room 22 and said everything was fine, we checked the mattress topper in this room, stains on this one too, last 4 photos. Housekeeping changed the bedding in this room, we would have left, but we had nowhere else to stay, we had a wedding to attend. After the wedding we dropped off another guest to Mollies hotel which was next door, the car park was all lit up and very welcoming and it was full. We went back to the Travelodge and the car park had no lighting, was pitch black, if I as a woman was on my own, I would not have felt safe, never in all the years of staying at a Travelodge have we ever arrived at their car park in pitch black with no car park lighting. When we got home, I emailed Travelodge customer service and said that we are going to Bristol again at the end of May and if we booked another Travelodge, could they guarantee that we would not receive stained mattress toppers again. We And this was their reply below ***All of our rooms should be cleaned thoroughly before anyone checks into them. I am sorry that the mattress topper had sweat stains on them. We have shared your feedback about the cleanliness levels with our hotel colleagues so that the team can make sure they are improved. As we are unable to issue a brand new topper for the mattress, I cannot promise that they will not have sweat stains on them.*** Just to ask you, the public, do the stains look like sweat stains to you? How can they not guarantee, for you as a customer to have a clean mattress topper, what has happened to Travelodge, their standards have dropped dramatically !! And because of this we will never stay at a Travelodge ever again

Room was spacious and had everything we needed. Good location for visiting Bristol and also for shopping. Easy to find and large car park Sharon on reception was very friendly and made us feel welcome. This for us is very important when staying in a place with children. Many thanks Caroline (and family)

Room was functional, warm and bed was lovely. Unfortunately I had to ask for cups, shower curtain (honestly), shower gel, and no TV remote either, Staff on duty were lovely and apologetic - but I'm still waiting for a goodwill voucher promised due to the items above

The room and corridor smell was not pleasant. Thought this was a newish hotel however it did not smell like it

From check in to check out all the staff are friendly and couldnt do enough for me and my boys. Always polite, smiley and happy to chat, they make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble especially Sharon. She always says hi to my children, chat to them about their day and have good recommendations when needed. Love staying here and have a home away from home. Lovely quiet and peaceful which makes a great stay.

I wanted to say how great Nikkiey was at our stay at cribbs causeway travelodge!! She is one of the kindest friendliest most helpful members of staff I have ever met!!! Thank you Nikkiey for making our stay so memorable 💖 from a happy customer and her family x

Absolutely love this hotel the staff are so friendly and helpful especially Nicky and all the staff are just as nice I would definitely recommend staying here. Nice rooms family friendly Close to pubs supermarkets the mall absolutely love

Absolutely fantastic.!!! The staff have gone above and beyond. We are working away from bolton, not a clue what's going on in the area so we asked Sharon at the desk and she couldn't of done more for us. She actually wrote us a list of places to visit and places to have a drink which we never expected. She even give us the directions to the bus stop and buses to catch to get to each location and even described each location throughly. I couldn't ask for anything better especially when we are new to the area. I've never received such kindness and attentiveness. Absolute gem. Had an issue with noise from some guests upstairs keeping us awake and told niki at the desk in the morning, we got home from work and she had warned the other guests and told them they would be evicted if it carried on. Just goes to show that they really value their guests and the quality of their stay! 5 starts from me
