I love green and nature and my husband loves the beach. This resort is the perfect balance so we both could have what we wanted. The paths from the room to the beach were beautiful with greenery all around. The beach itself was amazing. The food at the buffet was alright and when we did the reserved dinners at the restaurants the food was amazing. When we went to the seafood restaurant the chef prepared the "Four Fish" dish and it was the best Mahi Mahi I have ever had. We will definitely be going back to this resort.

Oncelikle otel eski. Checkin sureci uzun surdu. Her sey dahil otellere onyargiliydim fakat otelin ouanlari yuksek oldugu icin denemek istedik. Fakat bizi hic tatmin etmedi. Yemekler gercekten lezzetsizdi. Cocuklu ve kalabalik aileler icin uygun fiyatlı bir secenek olabilir. Tek olumlu yorumum dive center icin. Gercekten guzel bir deneyimdi

Um hotel muito agradável em meio a natureza. Com belas paisagens. Pontos negativos: não ter wifii na piscina, apenas 1 bar na piscina e em geral com apenas 1 funcionário para preparar bebidas, o que gera filas e espera.

We had a great stay! Food was great! Staff were wonderful! If I had to say one bad thing, it would be the amount of sea**** at the beach. And in the water. But the staff worked very hard EVERY morning to clean up the beach area from sea****. A huge Kudos to them! The pool areas were great! You just had to get up VERY early if you wanted a beach chair. Guest put their belongings on chairs to claim them and never show up for hours…
Overall we had a wonderful time celebrating our 40th anniversary! Thank you to all the staff!

Beautiful location set in a jungle and nearby the ocean with a great beach. Very convenient with it being a halfway point between the east side and downtown, about 20 min drive either direction. Breakfast buffet was great with being able to order fresh prepared eggs. Many of the other buffets were precooked and who knows how long it was sitting out. Be careful eating any veggies uncooked. I made the mistake on last day of eating a salad for lunch and got very, very sick. Other than that, a great experience and would go again but avoiding most of the buffet options unless cooked or knowing when it was prepared.

I absolutely loved the experience! The only things I did not like were that it was far too expensive to go more often and that I wish the staff were paid better. Inside of the air ducts in the rooms probably need cleaning. Everything else was better than I imagined.

While the ambiance of the property and the staff are very nice, the drinks are heavily watered down, the food is mediocre at best and usually comes out cold from the kitchen, u less your at the buffet. I had 3 meals at the various restaurants and I didn’t eat any of them due to the temperature of the food and off taste of the beef.
Cozumel is beautiful and we’d likely visit again, but likely will not stay at the occidental without some major improvements
