The hotel is located next to a great riverside walk out to the ocean, has good clean facilities and the room felt very spacious (3rd floor king studio kitchenette). The pool and hot tub are a good size, and outside - but even in March the pool was well-heated and comfortable to use. The views weren't spectacular but it was a good base to use for a ski trip. A very comfortable bed, although we both found the pillows just a bit too big/fat for comfort. Perhaps 2 fat and two flatter ones might offer a better combo for a variety of sleepers.

Our room was clean, quiet and had good amenities. The mini kitchen is very basic, but was fine for 2 nights. This is the third hotel I've stayed at in Courtenay and most of my stays are for business trips. My ranking for best hotels 1) Old House Hotel and Spa (love the apartments) 2) Bayview Hotel 3) Best Western (kind of a distant third) However, the Old House Hotel is very expensive (not a concern on business trips), So in terms of value, this would be my ranking 1) Bayview Hotel 2) Best Western 3) Old House

Not worth it. I ended us staying but cleaned out of the room first because there was no really else to stay and actually first of all I didn't even get all the pictures of the grossness there was food on the curtains the bedding I ended up just going to buy my own bedding to put on I had to put something over the couch it was gross I found other people's stuff underneath the couch pills under the couch there other people's belongings underneath the bed I had to scrub the room top to bottom of the room and then I got in a car accident and they packed up all my stuff pretty much the right after my accident and I must see my wallet my bank cards my everything in my wallet my ID it's so much stuff is gone and they won't give me my deposit back missing my kids Christmas presents my kids photos stay away from this hotel if I could give it a negative review I would

We stayed 2 days at the Bayview in Courtenay while visiting friends in Kamloops. The hotel is conveniently located right beside the river walk path. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, quiet and had good amenities. The mini kitchen is very basic, but was fine for 2 nights. This is the third hotel I've stayed at in Courtenay and most of my stays are for business trips. My ranking for best hotels 1) Old House Hotel and Spa (love the apartments) 2) Bayview Hotel 3) Best Western (kind of a distant third) However, the Old House Hotel is very expensive (not a concern on business trips), So in terms of value, this would be my ranking 1) Bayview Hotel 2) Best Western 3) Old House

I ended us staying but cleaned out of the room first because there was no really else to stay and actually first of all I didn't even get all the pictures of the grossness there was food on the curtains the bedding I ended up just going to buy my own bedding to put on I had to put something over the couch it was gross I found other people's stuff underneath the couch pills under the couch there other people's belongings underneath the bed I had to scrub the room top to bottom of the room and then I got in a car accident and they packed up all my stuff pretty much the right after my accident and I must see my wallet my bank cards my everything in my wallet my ID it's so much stuff is gone and they won't give me my deposit back missing my kids Christmas presents my kids photos stay away from this hotel if I could give it a negative review I would

The pool and hot tub are a good size, and outside - but even in March the pool was well-heated and comfortable to use. The views weren't spectacular but it was a good base to use for a ski trip. A very comfortable bed, although we both found the pillows just a bit too big/fat for comfort. Perhaps 2 fat and two flatter ones might offer a better combo for a variety of sleepers.
