Good apartments at affordable prices Stayed half board on a basic room - breakfast & lunch i'd give the food 7.5 out of 10 (for the price) Apartments - were clean, spacious & strong pressure on the shower No air conditioning apart from a tower fan which did nothing, stayed in november so was just bearable but in the summer forget it, maybe they have air conditioning in upgraded rooms?? No freezer in the fridge which was a shame Security - on the sliding doors needs upgrading as it was easy to push door up when locked to gain entry Swimming pool was clean & a good size plenty of sunloungers Supermarket was under 5 mins walk from apartment which was great Playa de la pinta beach under 10 mins walk from apartment - lovely beach water was crystal clear Overall these apartments are great value for what you pay, if they tweaked the above it would be 5 out 5

We stayed here for a week and were really happy with the Santa Maria. I had read reviews so knew not to expect anything too fancy. The hotel and our apartment was spotless. Yes it looked a little dated but we didn't care. Cleaning was done every other day with new towels and clean bedding. I had asked for a quiet apartment due to having autism but we had an apartment on the nosiest side. However as we had a corner apartment and the space and large balcony really suited us (3 out of 4 of us have autism and need space) we decided not to ask to move. However do be aware that the noise from the adjacent bars really is excessive as they seem to compete with each other for music volume until around 1am so sleep before this time is pretty difficult. You also get the shouting from drunken ****** at various hours of the morning plus they seem to do their bin collections in the early hours of the morning and this is also very noisy. I was a little concerned about the food after reading reviews, as we booked half board, but I found it to be really good. Lots of choice, always salads and breads available. Plenty of options for the main meal and desserts. Breakfast had lots of variety as well. I would say the food wasn't always that warm and often the chips were cold. The meats were always very nice and the BBQ night was really good. I found the reception staff were efficient but not overly friendly. All other staff were friendly and the restaurant staff were very efficient at getting drinks and clearing tables. The bar outside was overpriced and I only used this once for 2 basic ice creams then didn't bother again. The swimming pool was also really cold and I only went in once. I noticed most sunbeds were taken with towels but far less people around which was annoying, especially as all the beds around the pool were taken. The staff really should remove these towels. I did not find that they were out there too early though and the so-called rush for sunbeds did not happen, there were always some available. This didn't bother me, but my husband and my son found the apartment too hot to sleep properly as there was no air-conditioning and the fans didn't really help. Location of the hotel was brilliant, so close to lots of places within walking distance and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants around. My advice would be walk down to the sea front but then go right rather than left. Fanabe is just around the corner which is a nicer spot than by the Playa La Pinta beach area.

Just returned from a fab holiday …three adults and two children (Jake and Man child!) Place is spotless…rooms are a bit dated but very clean …. Food was fantastic …great BBQ on Friday All staff were very friendly but the jewel in the crown has to be Claire the entertainment…she is so friendly and involves everyone….the place would not be half as good without her… Evening entertainment was great …Shamia Twain was our favourite … Great location… We will definitely be back again …

Had a lovely 10 nights at this hotel, we went all inclusive and only on 1 night we struggled to find a meal to eat. No wars for sunbeds, rooms are a little dated and we had no air con which I was aware of before I came, so we hired an air con unit. Only thing I can grumble about is the days when the rooms aren’t cleaned you don’t get towels. You ring reception and they get the maids to bring them on 2 occasions this took well over an hour for them to arrive. Overall lovely hotel and location, entertainment staff Claire was amazing!!

Room size and facilities exactly as described on hotel website and room 143 massive balcony, sea view and sunshade as corner of building. Some apartments possibly privately owned and we were lucky to get one. Staff super helpful on reception, cleaning and in restaurant. -ve Aircon was 2 portable tower fans which didn't make a big impact on heat. The room remained 28C all the time. Outside temp 29C. Music bar very loud from 21.30 and earliest finish 23.30 so bring ear plugs if you want early night. Wifi in room only works when you stand close to TV connection so not in all of apartment or balcony. +ve Breakfast amazing. Staff great. Comfy beds and mattresses. Cleaning, towels, soap perfect. Bar great cocktails not weak like many bars and cheaper than other bars. Unfortunately we will not return as the room was too hot and noise from the bars sounds systems too much for sleep even through 2 closed double glazed windows
