Parque del Sol Apartamentos, Playa Fañabé, Costa Adeje

We chose these apartments because we are familiar with the location and we weren’t disappointed, great for all the beachfront bars and restaurants. However, I did email the hotel about 1 week before we arrived asking for a room on an upper floor as I never feel totally safe on the ground floor, didn’t even receive an acknowledgement to my email and ended up in ground floor which wasn’t what I wanted. Faced onto main road so not really nice sitting on the open terrace. Room was fine, kept clean enough. Had to pay €4 per day for a safe which I think is steep! We were half board but only had evening meal the night we arrived. Service is quite late so if you have small children could be too late. Breakfast was fine no issues there. Access to the restaurant was down stairs so not great for people with pushchairs or mobility issues. Pool area was quite tight but never had any issues getting a sunbed but not sure what it would be like during school holidays, pool was lovely and warm probably the warmest pool I’ve been in, plenty of inflatables to use that had been left behind. Tiled flooring around pool very slippy, witnessed a few people slipping. Quite a lot of broken tiles too! Saw quite a few items left lying about for days ie. Towels, shoes and even empty beer cans, should have been removed by hotel staff. Pool bar not bad but can get busy and not a lot of staff manning it. Thought the place could have done with a bar which opened on an evening, reception area certainly big enough to accommodate one. Wi-Fi was hit and miss, could rarely get it in room but ok around pool when I didn’t really need it. Im not sure if I’d go back here again as I didn’t think the amenities were great but can’t fault the location.

Nice apartments for a self catering holiday in a great resort Apartment was clean and had everything we needed for self catering. Balcony is large Pool area is a little tight but even during school October half term we never struggled for sun beds. Area around the apartments is very nice with Del Duque only a few minute stroll away and less than 5 minutes to Playa Fañabé beach There is a wide choice of restaurants and beach front bars within 10 minutes We’ve been to these apartments 3 times over the years and always found them to be a great choice

Just wanted to say the reason I booked this accommodation was mainly down to the quick response to my initial enquiry, which was dealt with by Michael Mendoza.. I have also requested a quiet, 3rd floor, poolside 2 bedroom apartment & this was the very efficient response… “While we cannot provide a specific area or room number at this time, please know that we have noted your request and will make every effort to fulfill it. Please understand that we cannot guarantee the exact allocation, but rest assured… I will personally ensure the best possible outcome for your stay Amazing service, thanks Michael !!

We stayed here for a week from Sept 27th as a party of 3 adults and 3 children,9,9 and 11. We had a 2 bed apt on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool. Its a lovely, small but quiet resort. It's perfectly suited for couples who want a quiet relaxing break away, but to be honest, it's not really suitable for children. There is no entertainment day or night and nothing whatsoever to do in the complex at night. I was so disappointed with this and it really took from the holiday. A large majority of the residents were of an older generation, as I believe this used to be a time share complex, so you kind of felt you had to keep the kids quiet and stop them splashing in the pool as a few older guests would throw a dirty look and mutter to their partner about having gotten a bit wet..! Our children were bored after the first day. The pool is nice and heated, but its too small. It narrows in the middle which made it kind of awkward when you're swimming. There are plenty of sunbeds and to be fair, there was no 'sunbed war'..! Yes you had the 7am sunbed snatchers, but there was always free beds The room was ok, bedrooms were a good size but the sitting room was tiny for 6 people. The table and chairs encroached so much into the free space between the couch and the table and then when the couch was pulled out for the kids to sleep, you couldn't pass between the 2 as there was no room..! The TV in the room wasn't smart and I hadn't brought our Chromecast with us so the kids were stuck with a TV with zero English speaking channels..! Oh and only 1 bathroom between 6 people was a big challenge let me tell you..!! NO AIR-CONDITIONING..! This was a truly awful experience. Just a ceiling fan in each room blowing warm air all over the place. It was so bad, one of our kids was up vomiting and couldn't sleep one of the nights because of the heat, it was so stuffy. Hard to believe that in that climate the Apts don't have Air-con..! The balcony was a good size though and nice to be overlooking the pool, but the handrail was covered in bird poo from all the pigeons. I don't think they clean that at all . The fuse board tripped out a few times one morning at 4am leaving us with no fans for about an hour.. Also we woke one morning to someone working on the outside of out balcony. I walked out and there was a man on scaffolding hacking away at the plaster..! I totally understand that repairs are necessary but we were annoyed that we were not made aware the day before that maintenance work would be carried out at 9am on our balcony..! I relayed all these issues to reception and they apologized about the lack of notice but offered little to no resolution to the lack of Air-con in the room. The food was a little hit and miss. I mean the breakfast was nice and there was a huge spread of everything you could ask for, but there was no orange juice. Instead it was diluted orange..! Between September 9-11, as already informed at the reception numerous times, goods and money worth €1000 were stolen from our hotel room (€500 in cash, an apple watch series 7 and a pair of air pods pro). I would like to mention that a police investigation was opened, but for sure once we leave Tenerife, nothing will be resolved). I mention the fact that I can locate the location of the goods in real time, but apparently nothing can be done. We are deeply disappointed by the lack of help offered by the hotel, the reception pointed out that they are not responsible for their employees and it is our fault that we do not protect our belongings. The fact that things can disappear from the hotel room simply from the nightstand, I've never heard anything like that anywhere (a room where only us and the cleaning team have access) is outrageous. The hotel representatives claim that they checked the entrances and exits from the rooms, but again we did not receive any results. The fact that there are no surveillance cameras in 2024 for the safety of customers scares me. We used the services of this hotel with confidence, and even sent other people to this place because we were here last year as well. I can't believe that in such a highly developed world, the help and support of some people (who pay quite a bit for this stay) is refused.
