4 of us had the set meal choosing different starters and we all had the roast turkey. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and the service and meal were all very good. Relaxed surroundings and we had pre lunch drinks and tea and coffee afterwards in the “lounge” area. Two of us hadn’t been for a number of years and were glad to see everything was still great. Thank you to all concerned. We will be back again before too long.

Corse Lawn Hotel is a charming building in a lovely location, well placed for exploring the Gloucestershire area. We stayed for three nights, and ate in the restaurant every day. Food was excellent throughout and we could see why it is popular with locals for meals out. The staff and owner of this hotel really do well at making you feel at home, and are attentive without being intrusive. As other reviewers have said, this is an old building that has quirks and a charm of its' own so don't expect it to be like an over-modernised chain-owned establishment. It is easy to slip into a comfortable, relaxing life here, feeling more like as houseguest than simply paying customer.

We were a party of 2 couples that stayed overnight on Sunday 1st September. What can I say! the staff were friendly, polite, smartly dressed and the list goes on..... We were welcomed by BaBa the owner on arrival and she could not make us feel more welcome. The best word to describe this hotel is a quintessential. The rooms are large with tea, coffee and home made biscuits and fresh pint of milk in the fridge. The evening meal and breakfast were faultless. This is a hotel were traditional values are preserved. I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. The decor is slightly tired but it does not matter because it adds to the faded charm of the hotel.

We do not normally write reviews, but I feel I must on this occasion. We had a lovely stay Sunday 1st September, for one night. We travelled with my sister and her partner so had two rooms. The rooms are big , very quiet and everything you could want in the room. The hotel had a quintessential English charm. We met the owner ba ba Hine, she was very friendly. We were made to feel very welcome. Your staff are a credit to you, smart and professionally dressed in reception and restaurants. Evening meal was outstanding and very attentive, the breakfast was amazing too. Lovely touches in bedrooms, included hand made biscuits, traditional loose tea, cafetière, and in the fridge a pint of milk! not the long life sachets you have in most hotels now. Many thanks , we all had a lovely stay in your hotel.

Delightful and charming. This hotel is yesteryear in the best way possible. Yes, the windows don’t stay open, the decor isn’t 21st century, there are strange noises from the bathroom ceiling yet none of this matters. The whole ambience and experience is wonderful. If you want modern this isn’t for you. We simply had the most relaxing stay. The bed, the pillows were so comfortable. I haven’t slept under a blanket for the longest time but thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband, who has Parkinson’s, discovered they made such a positive impact on his sleep quality. I will be contacting to find out where you purchase your blankets! The restaurant was superb. The food was of a great standard, we couldn’t fault it. The only area for improvement was the clearing of tables as it’s not the best experience to sit with finished plates in front of you for 15 minutes. Breakfast was of a high quality. We had a slight problem with the temperature of our breakfast but it was quickly remedied with no fuss. Again the clearing of the tables could be improved, as could be the strength of the coffee. Again, minor niggles which are easily remedied. If you’re hesitating about booking please don’t. The staff are friendly and accommodating which is quite a rare find nowadays.Accept that you’re not getting a corporate hotel but rather something quintessentially British and you’ll have the most delightful time .

Just returned from a one night stay with my mother. Our room was a very good size with plenty of lovely little extras. All the staff were excellent, especially in the restaurant. We had a delicious dinner - meat eaters and vegans very well catered for. Breakfast was great too. Hope to return sometime.
