Hampton Inn & Suites Columbus

The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Our problem came at midnight when guests arrived in the room above us. They were very loud, clearly partying but we heard way too much. The floors and walls were so thin and not insulated at all. We could hear their toilet flush and the water running. We could hear footsteps, the tv, and their conversations. I went to the front desk at 1:30 am and requested another room with no one above us. The front desk staff was very understanding and accommodating, and also acknowledged that noise is a problem because of thin walls. We were quickly given keys to a room on the top floor. Again, that room was very clean and comfortable, and much quieter so we could sleep.

We loved the friendliness of the staff. We did not like the gummy bad taste of the waffles. Something was wrong with the mix waffle mix.

Smoke detector beeped every two hours. Lacked soap in the bathroom.

Everything was great. The only concern was half of the carpet had black spots.

The woman who checked us in was so rude. We’ve stayed here at least five times and have never had an experience as awful as this most recent check-in. First she told us she gave away the last room, then told us check -in was over, but didn’t know that I knew it was until 3a if using *******, then told us not to speak to ******* about the issue. All while making us wait outside for 20-minutes before gaining access to the building because she was not at the front desk. Lastly, our room smelled moldy every single day. Also something we have never experienced on this property after five years of trips.

Great location. Wonderful staff.

We noticed that all the staff were very friendly.

Wonderful new hotel. Towels were very scratchy, really need to upgrade the softener or get new towels. Front desk just said there was nothing that could be done about it because of commercial laundry rules.
