Blau Colònia Sant Jordi

Amazing service, Kelly was lovely and I actually enjoyed my massage a lot! Definetely an experience that I would repeat. In my opinion, this great service offered by Blau Hotel is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Thank you Kelly for what you did to me!

My husband and I spent a week at Blau Colonia Sant Jordi from 18th September 2024. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality & appearance of the hotel when we arrived, its a low rise building with the rooms split into various blocks, its above normal standard in our opinion, really quite plush. It is in a quiet area, however there is a free shuttle bus to take you to the beaches if required. There are a few pools & plenty of sunbeds available. The hotel is very clean throughout, we had a small suite with a sofa & coffee table. The bedroom was a good size and kept very clean by the cleaning ladies who were all so nice. We had a free safe with the suite & bathrobes & slippers which we love. The mini fridge is stocked with various drinks on arrival free of charge, however if you continue to use the drinks stock after the first time you must pay for what you use. The drinks from the bar were lovely, slightly pricy, but we enjoyed them very much. We also had free Spa access with our suite. The restaurant was always busy, there were a lot of young families & babies when we were there, they are well catered for. The quality and varitety of food was very good, there was also a chef on the grill every night cooking meats & fish to order. There are also themed nights, Sushi, Italian etc., which we enjoyed. Breakfast was brilliant, fresh omlettes to order and so many other things to choose from, it was my favourite part of the day! The waiting staff serving drinks in the restaurant and all very professional and bring your drinks quickly. You can sign for your drinks & pay the account when checking out which is so easy, saves messing around with currency. We checked out at 3am this morning and the receptionist explained that there was a light breakfast available to us in the restaurant, we didn't expect that at all due to the early flight, and it was very nice to have a coffee & croissant to set us up for the journey. We did get mosquito bites, I wonder if the wildlife ponds on site encourage the mosquitos? Maybe something that could be considered? We did use spray in the room & it didn't stop it unfortunately. We really enjoyed our week and would be very happy to go back to the hotel in the future. Well done to all the staff.

The Spa - massage with Dalia Moreno Anyone staying at the hotel shouldn’t miss out on a treatment at the Spa. I had a treatment today with Dalia. She is upbeat with a great sense of humour and put me at ease straight away and I don’t relax easily…well I did today! I chose a 40 minutes massage. Dalia helped me pick out a preferred fragrance to use during my treatment. They’re all good but I chose an energising/strong uplifting one. I had walked a minimum of 15k steps each day or 7 miles on the beach for 5 days and my body ached, especially my feet and calves. Dalia worked on my feet and calve muscles, picking up naturally where my aches were without me having to mention. The pressure she used was perfect and she checked all was good, well yes it definitely was. She moved on to my back, hands and arms, again the technique and pressure was spot on. This lady has magic hands and I’m sure she’s an angel sent from heaven. The rooms are large, the perfect temperature and spotlessly clean. The choice of music was also relaxing and at the right volume. Dalia made me feel special today, she made me smile and I was offered a herbal tea and chocolate at the end, which I also enjoyed. I’d 100% recommend her. I left feeling totally relaxed and uplifted. I only wish I could take her back to England with me. Thank you to Dalia for making me feel so good.

Dalia did a facial and hot stone massage for me, it was very relaxing and my skin feels great, I’d highly recommend her! Natalia at reception was also very helpful organising the treatments for us and sharing all the information about the spa/gym as we were not staying at the hotel, thank you!

Stayed for 8 nights in August 2024. Room number 2001 (garden suite). Half board. All in all a good stay with probably the best room on property having a look around. Don’t worry about the spa access, it isn’t worth it really as it isn’t really a spa, just different pools of similar temp and a steam room etc. Food is of a very high quality and different themes every evening (Mallorcan, Spanish, Arabian, Sushi, American). It is not chips and burgers but a lot better, well cooked, local and fresh. Couple of cooking stations. Breakfast is excellent, from fresh fruit, to freshly cooked omelettes to pastries. Never horrible queues as they have 3 circular stations. Room was lovely, separate bedroom for kids on fold out bed (double) and super king size in main room. Mosquitoes weren’t an issue this year as some have alluded to. This will only be a problem at dusk/evening if you sit out for long periods of time (we didn’t) A/C is amazing in rooms if you keep the doors shut (obviously). They have 2 large pools, one for playing around with swim up bar and one just having a swim. Service is good in the buffet restaurant but inconsistent in the pool restaurant, quite understaffed during the day which was explained to me by a waiter (not sure this is my problem) something management need to look at, especially as this is where they would be making their money? Swim up bar was closed for half a day due to weather, but when it cleared it never reopened, which was annoying as the pool was open?! Again understaffing and not bothered about the inconvenience to customers. We used to excuse this as the Mediterranean way but I think paying €300 plus a night this needs to change. All in all a good hotel, lots of loungers, nice people (mixture of Spanish, Italian and German - British minority) and great food. We don’t normally stay in half board places but we were really pleased with all food options, even gluten free. Drinks were reasonable, except kids smoothies for €8.50 was a bit steep!!
