Hotel am Augustinerplatz

It’s amazing how they are partnering with this spa center that have sauna and swimming pool and a bunch of aesthetic equipment!!! Room so average, but with the spa, worth it for a regular priced stay

Alles in allem ein schönes, ruhiges und sehr zentrales Hotel. Der Dom ist zu Fuß in ein paar Minuten zu erreichen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Ein günstiges Parkhaus ist im selben Gebäude. Ich würde es wieder buchen.

Spent three nights during a fair. Good location with a short walk to the train station and a variety of restaurants. Room was ok with a small desk for work. Otherwise nothing special. Cleaning was not the best since I found some papers with names of a previous person staying in the room. Breakfast was ok. Nothing special though. And the breakfast room was hot and crowded. I guess the hotel was full. Overall a good hotel with good location.

Eventhough i am gold member when i arrived at 12.30, the receptionist man told me that i can't check n before 3.00 pm. He didnt even check if there are available rooms. I believe there were. Location is very center. heting system didnt work properly but i asked the reception they just changed settings of heater. so it started to heat up. ******* and the hotel gave me different invoice amounts.

The location is good. The room felt a bit small for 4 pax but confortable enough. It is very clean and staffs are very friendly and helpful. The only thing is there are no complimentary on tea and coffee in the room. However, overall experience was great as it was our first time in Cologne.

The location of this hotel is great for the Chris**as Markets...close to practically all of them! It was also close to shopping, bakeries, and nightlife! BUT...the hotel was a bit quirky. When booking this space I believe it was listed as 4 star...it definitely was not. Practicing a form of eco-friendliness, you receive 1 towel in the bathroom for 2 days and the rooms aren't serviced until after 48 hours. The bathroom was a tight space...a little bigger than a camper bathroom. As others of have said, there are no outlets near the bed to charge anything at night but if you know that in advance you can adapt. Unlike other reviews, I found the staff very friendly and helpful at managing requests/answering questions, and I never ran out of hot water in the shower. The Saturday price was 2.5-3 times as much as the Sunday-Wednesday. Given the time of year I guess that's understandable but I certainly wouldn't pay that again to stay there. This property wasn't horrible (I've stayed in worse) but I would select a different hotel in the future when visiting the city.

The only characteristic for a 4-star hotel of this property is its price. I can't believe this is an ******* VIP property, really feels like three-star hotel from the FRG times. *Check-in: the self-check kiosk asked me to pay my reservation in order to complete the process, despite the fact the my booking was prepaid through *******. I needed to ask for refund at the reception desk. I got my money back immediately, but still it was not a nice experience at all. *Rooms: small but rather clean. No kettle or even a drinking glass. The glass door of the shower was leaking and after I took a shower the floor was flooded. The floor towel did not help. ******** perks: At the time I made my reservation, and being a platinum ******* member, I was promised a bottle of sparkling wine at check-in, plus a free access to hotel's swimming pool. After I asked for the wine, it was delivered to my room; still, no access to the pool was given. *Breakfast was the most disappointing thing. The website of the hotel says that on Sat and Sun the breakfast is served till 11:30, but I was denied access at exactly 11:00 by the staff in the breakfast area. I managed to get to the coffee machine and to make an espresso, but was asked to leave. I reported that immediately to the hotel's reception, and the lady working there politely said that the behavior of her colleagues wasn't professional. Still, I did not get even an apology of any sort.

There isn't really much point writing a review in terms of informing the hotel as all the faults keep being written on here but clearly the hotel has no intention of addressing them but for any future guests ....here goes!! 1. No toiletries provided. Had to ask twice and got two tiny bars of soap. Empty toiletries boxes from previous occupants just left on the sink for three days. 2.Rooms far too hot and the aircon seems non responsive. 3. Rooms really dark as the lighting is inadequate. 4. No glasses left in the room and when we asked for some they left two tiny champagne flute style ones!!! 5. Pillows like cotton wool. 6. Sink didn't have plug until we asked for one. 7. Shower just handheld over the bath with no shower curtain so bathroom floor was flooded. 8. Some write ups of the hotel imply it has leisure/gym but it doesn't as you have to go up the road. 9. Long check in process 10. Asked them to book a taxi to the airport which they didn't 11. The bar is small and really, really dark with little choice of drinks. Over priced and certainly not what I would call 4 star. I think that is probably enough because if after all that you still book then any more issues are unlikely to dissuade you. There is a good point though - it is centrally located.
