Mholiday Hotels Stone Palace Side - All Inclusive

Honest review from British group that have just returned. The hotel is not a new one it's quite old but not shabby at all. The main entrance,lobby and bar area is quite grand in fact. We booked a standard room but were upgraded to a superior room free of charge. The pool areas and gardens are really nice and well kept with grassy areas and well established trees,plants and flowers. The hotel is mainly geared up for the Russian and German guests which is their main clientele. I'd say 70 per cent Russian 20 German and 10 from everywhere else. The staff do speak some English though and are very good and the entertainment team speak all languages so everyone knows what's going on. If you want to engage with them or not it's cool with them. Food is probably about average I'd say. We didn't starve there and found something everyday. There's also a snack bar behind the quiet pool that serves the usual burgers etc. They do jacket potatoes as well straight from the oven, they're really nice! Rooms are cleaned daily and are in a decent condition with towels changed regularly too. All in all a very enjoyable relaxing 10 days spent there with perfect weather as well,still in the 30's in October! Would we return? Yeah probably.

Upon arrival we instantly had our room upgraded to a “superior room” for 2 days. I wouldn’t say that the room was any better than a standard and wouldn’t have been very happy if had paid extra but it was fine and the shower was very good. After the two days was told we could stay in that room but “remember to do your tripadvisor review’ !!! Seemed like a bit of a con as speaking to other English families this was the same for them! Hotel is primarily for Russian holiday makers, however we still enjoyed it. Good hotel activities, great pool and beach area. We enjoyed the food however a few basic things missing like chips or toast making facilities at breakfast. Beware … don’t lose your key card! The reception charged us £10 for this - absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. Never had this in any other hotel and left me feeling very annoyed leaving the hotel. Air con was turned off in whole hotel half way through our stay too which was annoying as still very hot at night. Overall had a good holiday but probably wouldn’t go back to this hotel.

Not sure where to start with this hotel to be honest. It's a strange one. On arrival at 2:30am on a Sunday morning we were greeted with the instant option to upgrade our rooms.. having just missed our flights out by about 5 mins due to rail issues, and spending almost 2k trying to get the family out 4 hours later, I wasn't in the mood to be having that discussion. Thankfully, the reception staff quickly figured that out and put us in upgraded rooms FOC for 48 hours until we'd rested and considered our options. The hotel team quickly appreciated the scenario after a couple of days and kindly kept our nicer rooms for us for the entire duration. Thank you guys! That was appreciated. So, the bad points about Otium, well look, its an older hotel, it doesn't have the bells and whistles of the newer, more upmarket hotels. The staff know it and as a guest, you should too, but you aren't paying for the posh, swanky, all inclusive with the gold and chrome finishes. I'll be honest, and say the food was a bit hard going. We aren't fussy in particular, but the options were limited in comparison with others we have been to. My advice to Otium would be to up your pricing point a bit and give the catering team some more money to work with, especially at breakfast - no variety for 12 days is difficult. Now the good, The whole team were great to try and make our stay a pleasant one. Shout out to the entertainment team. They are a riot. They have a good go at getting the somewhat slow going holiday makers off their loungers and doing stuff. The pool activities were a laugh to watch, fun foam party, and the live music and shows we saw were good. Huge shout out to the staff at the Ice Cream and Snack area. Polite, helpful and friendly and couldn't ask for more. The pools are fab, clean and well maintained and the grounds themselves are pretty and tranquil. The beach area and bar is a great addition, but I would also suggest that Otium could clean their area of the beach a bit. Tourists who smoke tend to not give a hoot where they litter and a little dig in the sand should not unveil fag ends when a 5 year old is building a sandcastle. Especially not in that magnitude. I smoke and even I was disgusted, being a respectful one who keeps his habit as unoffensive to others as possible. Like I said, it's a strange one. Go there with an open mind, be prepared to eat out a couple of times during your stay to keep some variety and don't expect the earth and you'll actually find you have a good time. At least we did. It's a slow burner and we were in the end, sad to say goodbye to the place.

Animatie team was top ( Rocco,Berat , Emre, Nazli ,Nur , Nastya, Merve ) ! Personeel was erg vriendelijk!! Maar de kamers zijn minder en het eten was voldoende . Het kan kwalitatief veel beter …………..

We booked this hotel through our provider as a 5 star hotel , we were very worried after reading reviews , especially as there wasn’t many from this year so after visiting we thought we would leave our honest review. We arrived at stone palace at around 12:45 am on Monday 7 th August, was greeted by a lovely man on reception who offered us a drink straight away so seemed very good it was very warm in the reception area so this was welcomed , we were then told our rooms were not ready so was to be put in family rooms for the night then move to our rooms in the morning, it’s not ideal but it was late so we just went with it. The family rooms were very spacious with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom and a nice little entrance hall , fully stocked mini bar with soft drinks and water which was free so seemed great , next morning we went down to reception and told our rooms wouldn’t be ready till 10 this was a little frustrating as we were only there for a week after complaining there was now a rude lady on reception and was told they do this all the time which in my opinion is not acceptable , at 10 we returned and we’re given our room keys , got to room and they still weren’t ready they were being cleaned , finally at around 11 we got in our rooms air conditioning basically non existent, showers not very good at all but still mini bar stocked 👍. Pool area : Superb huge pool and very clean, great pool with 2 slides , and plenty of sun beds , only thing is there is and adults only relax pool but it is full of children, y call it an over 18s pool 🤷‍♂️ Spa : I had a massage but I find them very pushy , my massage was ok , I suffer with my back but to be honest I think she made me worse , the price started at 200 euros and then became 90 euros Fo me and my wife , again in the spa air conditioning is rubbish. Food : Breakfast is awful no bacon no sausage no beans no toast 🤦‍♂️ All food very repetitive but is ok I guess in the night, and the snacks throughout the day are great Shops / barbers : Shops are great and reasonably priced , barber ripped me off he offered me a shave and trim , told me 5 euros , then after I had done in the next couple days he charged me 25 euros which is a complete rip off as I’m basically bald !!! Staff : Some great but some rude Overall this is nowhere near a 5star hotel the air conditioning doesn’t work, and is boiling everywhere, lifts are tiny , rooms are old and worn , food is average, staff can be rude , hardly any English all Russian and German , If it wasn’t for pool area it would be a 1 star review!

Food was very good, with plenty of variety and always freshly cooked. The entertainment staff, especially Nastya and Berat were brilliant. Very friendly, funny and always enthusiastic. We loved playing water polo and doing the group dance. The beach is minutes away but the sea wasnt very clear. The room was outdated and could do with an upgrade. Overall, we had a great holiday, which was made by the daily activities and staff. P.s. be sure to get up at 6am to reserve a Sunbed like all the other losers 😉

We had read a lot of bad reviews before going to this hotel and we wanted to try it anyway and it was totally opposite of all those bad reviews .. Hotel staff were so helpful , so friendly .. Whenever we asked something , they rushed to do , they did everything they could do to make our holiday better. Food was very various and delicious , room was clean .. Special thanks to the animation staff Batu , Poyraz and Selçuk and other hotel stuff Mete and manager .. It wouldnt be that much memoriable without you guys ;) Otele gitmeden önce çok fazla negatif yorum okuduk ve buna rağmen denemek istedik. Otel okuduğumuz negatif yorumların tam tersi çıktı. Otel çalışanları çok yardımsever ve sıcakkanlılardı. Ne talebimiz olduysa yardımcı oldular ve tatilimizi daha güzel geçirmemiz için ne gerekiyorsa yaptılar. Yemekler çeşitli ve lezizdi . Do not be fooled by the great pictures on google as this hotel we as a family would never recommend or return too. If you are thinking about visiting this hotel please read all the reviews and take them seriously as we spoke to so many people while at this hotel who were also very dissapointed. The hotel is listed a 5 star hotel but it is 100% NOT. We have stayed in 3 start hotels and recieved better food and service. There is very little english speaking staff at this hotel so it is very hard to communicate with anyone. On our first day we had many issues with our room. Such as the aircon not working, which left the family uncomfortable and tired as it was impossible to sleep due the temparature of the room. We then found out that the aircon even though each room has a control panel it is controled centrally by the hotel and the aircon is turned on and off at certain times for example it turns off at midnight and is turned back on at 8.30am in the morning. A major concern for me was that we had live electical cables exposed in our room which were loose on the floor were anyone could have stepped on and could have caused serious harm. Both Light and plug fittings were loose on the wall with enough spacing for kids fingers to be placed behind the walls and in general the rooms were not very well maintaned. When we confronted the hotel the about the electrical issues mainly they insisisted that its not dangerous, and to a fix the issue they wrapped celotape around the cables. The fridge in the room did not work so all the drinks were warm. And the noise from the main road if your unlucky to get a room that side is very loud all night long. After these issues we requested to have our rooms moved and they refused. We had to create a public scene for them to eventually move oujr room which took away half a day of my holiday. The food was really repetertive everyday it was the same breakfast and lunch and dinner apart from wednesday when they do a focused turkish meal which again was very basic. The food was cooked to an inch of its life, the meats were dry, the fish was like leather. If you like chicken and turkey that's prety much all the meat your gonna get unless you eat the stews but in that heat you dont want stews. All meals were at set times such as ice cream you can only have for a couple of hours in the day and then you could not have anymore. The kids food options was limited to just chicken nuggets, mash and these nasty processed sausages but once these ran out they would not replenish them. They stated when booking they had a specialty resturant which was never open. They also stated they had a nightclub/disco a games room but again none of these we're open. The all inclusive drinks were bad. There was only 1 beer available, no ciders and the spirits were all vodka with a flavored syrup to make them taste like rum for example. Hotel is okay , rooms are good! Hotel food not so great could be catered to English visitors more , and labelled better too as I do not understand what the food is, the chicken on the bbq was NOT COOKED PROPERLY!!! Still pink !!!! Entertainment is amazing! Holiday wouldn’t be the same without Hagi ( Mario) 🙂and apli perfect entertainers , laughs all day round and go out there way to make us happy. Always asking if we are okay, Never a dull day around them! Get everyone involved in the games throughout the day. Couldn’t ask for better entertainers cannot thought them in anyway!!! Pay rise should be on the rise for these men!!
