Wow! This guesthouse was simply stunning, we were only in Coimbra for one night to visit the University and this was the perfect spot to stay. The owners Sonia and Jonah were welcoming, so helpful with plans, recommendations and the breakfast was fabulous rivaled any 5 star hotel I've stayed at. The room was immaculate and well appointed and bed very comfortable, unfortunately due to the rain we couldn't take advantage of the garden but was able to try some fresh picked fruit right from the garden. Lovely experience--well done Sonia and Jonah!

Already reviewed in the other site. but couldn't add photos of the lovely photos we had with owners Jonah and Sonia This guesthouse made us feel "home away from home" Kitchen opened for coffee and tea 24hrs! Old photos available to see how the torn and tattered old building transformed to what it is today. Beautiful!

We had a delightful stay in Coimbra at an accommodation hosted by a wonderfully friendly couple. They made us feel right at home with their warmth and hospitality. The room was cozy and impeccably clean, offering stunning views of the city. They also provided great tips on local sights and eateries, enhancing our experience. Truly a gem in Coimbra, highly recommended!

My husband and I stayed here along with another couple in September. We could not have been more pleased with everything about our stay. Right from the welcome greeting we knew we were in for a treat. My husband and I had a lovely room across from the kitchen. We faced a small garden of orange trees which when you're from Canada, feels like a dream view. The other couple had a room on the upper floor facing the grassy back yard. Both rooms were relatively quiet. The beds were the most comfortable beds we slept in during our six different stays in Portugal. The owners of this guest house have done an incredible job renovating an old ruin into a lovely, bright and warm place to stay. The rooms are well appointed with nice linens and toiletries. Breakfast is substantial and served in a bright welcoming room. The food was excellent. Vila Julieta is centrally located. We had a car but didn't use it at all during our two night stay as we were able to walk everywhere. Granted the guest house is at the top of a hill but if you're in decent shape, it's an easy hike up and down to get to the central shopping/eating areas and to walk along the riverfront. The best part of staying at Vila Julieta are the owners and their gorgeous young daughter. They are the sweetest people you could meet and they will make sure you have a nice stay in Coimbra. Do not miss the bakery down the street. The prices are amazing and the quality of the baked goods is exceptional.

Sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft. Das Hotel ist mit liebe eingerichtet. Die Gastgeber sind super lieb und sehr zuvorkommend und super sympathisch. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut und reichhaltig für 10 €. Das Zimmer war zwar sehr klein aber das Bett super bequem und alles war sehr sauber, ein Pluspunkt für das indirekte Licht im Zimmer. Man hat noch den Garten, eine Terasse und ein Wohnzimmer welches man benutzen kann. Man kann auf der Straße gegenüber kostenlos parken.

Ein Haus zum Verlieben! Man spürt die Leidenschaft und Liebe der Gastgeber für ihr wunderschön renoviertes Haus. Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll und nützlich eingerichtet und das Badezimmer bietet alles, was man braucht. Das Frühstück ist das erste Highlight. Es wird mit viel Liebe zubereitet und auch "Sonderwünsche" werden gerne zubereitet. Ein kurzer Weg und man ist in max. 8-10 min in der Altstadt. Wir würden immer wieder gerne zurückkommen und können die Villa sehr empfehlen. Liebe Grüße Karin und Thorsten

Tout est véritablement parfait dans ce lieu. L'accueil de nos hôtes qui parlent 7 langues à eux deux. Qui vous accueillent avec une extrême gentillesse et avec chaleur. Propreté, charme, beauté des lieux, literie remarquable, calme, petit déjeuner buffet exceptionnel. Tout y est, vraiment tout. Nous recommandons cette adresse à COIMBRA. Jacques et Simone

Ubicado en el barrio de la Conchada, con una buena zona para aparcar y olvidarse del coche durante tu estancia, Vila Julieta Guesthouse destaca entre los edificios que la rodean por su grandeza y reciente construcción. Desde que atraviesas sus puertas, te sientes en casa. Sonia y su pareja son dos de las personas más amables y simpáticas que puedes encontrarte. Hablan un montón de idiomas y se desviven por hacerte feliz. Dispuestos a ayudar en todo, su proyecto de vida se convierte en tu hogar. Vi las fotos de la remodelación. Increíble lo que han hecho. El interior es simplemente precioso, confortable, acogedor... Cada habitación es única. Teníamos dos, y no sabíamos cuál elegir. Imaginaros... Zona tranquila, ideal para el descanso, un poquito alejada de un centro que está en cuesta, claro, pero es cierto que el Uber funciona de maravilla y por apenas 4 e el viaje. La casa dispone de dos zonas ajardinadas, una sala de lectura, y una cocina fantástica en la que puedes hacerte un té, café, tomar una limonada o coger agua con hielo. El desayuno incluido en el alojamiento imprescindible, porque por la zona sólo vimos una cafetería, es simplemente perfecto! Fruta, zumo natural, reposteria típica, huevos, fiambres...variedad y calidad, y sobre todo PAZ desde que te levantas hasta que te acuestas. MIL GRACIAS! Ojalá os vaya todo lo bonito que os merecéis... 😘
