Premier Inn Cobham

The entrance to the hotel was underwhelming, the palm trees are half dead and the grass is dead with **** filled planters randomly scattered alongside the path. Nice welcome from the front desk lady Room 42 was 27.5 degrees inside, no air con just a single fan and the icing on the cake was that the bathroom fan did not work, which we realised after having a shower, so the bathroom became a sauna!! Did ask for another fan, hotel full so non available. After going out to the races, we came back to the room and packed up and left as couldn’t face another night there. It was cooler in the hallways!! The hotel is tired, with blown windows and tired rooms Sort it out Premier Inn.

We arrived at approximately 20:00. The check-in process was slower than usual due to a technical issue with the front desk computer. Upon entering the room, we found it to be in an acceptable condition, although it appeared somewhat dated and in need of refurbishment. Nevertheless, the room was clean. Breakfast was served at the adjacent Greene King pub, which is not directly affiliated with Premier Inn. However, they were providing breakfast service for Premier Inn guests. Unfortunately, the breakfast experience was disappointing. The food was dry and lukewarm. It is unclear whether temperature checks are conducted for the buffet, but it would be advisable to implement such measures. While I acknowledge that this issue falls under the purview of Greene King and not Premier Inn, I believe that Premier Inn staff should conduct periodic quality checks to ensure that their standards are being met. The courteous receptionist did provide us with a refund for the breakfast. Overall, I would consider staying at this Premier Inn again, but I would opt to have breakfast elsewhere.

Having read recent reviews I wasn't expecting a swell time here, but I have to say it was much better than expected. Reception staff were efficient and pleasant and the room was absolutely fine, although the bathroom could use about 15 minutes of a competent handyman's time. Room and bathroom were very clean. I was surprised how quiet it was in the room with the A3 not far away. Had two great nights sleep and would definitely return if working in the area. Was not so impressed with the Fairmile pub next door, especially the early-evening barman, but it's a separate business so won't comment further.

Despite being close to A3 the noise of traffic was only heard outside (we come from rural Wales). Clean, comfortable, no hassle stay, everything as expected.

We've stayed here before and it's easy to get to, has plenty of parking and comfortable rooms. There's no noisy and the bed is comfortable for a good night's sleep. There's a restaurant next door for breakfast/dinner. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful

Great hotel at a good price . Very pleasant welcome . Adequate room with all one needs but no extras . Delighted that my son could stay with us at last minute using the sofa bed which was already made up at no extra cost . Pretty good breakfast in nice adjoining pub.

Two rooms booked at the same time but we were allocated rooms at opposite ends of the hotel. Location was pretty quiet but rooms were small and stuffy with no air con and the fan in one of the rooms was broken. The shower in the other room did not run water consistently. There were bugs in one of the rooms and the experience at check in was very unfriendly and uncomfortable. The location was convenient for a wedding my friends and I were attending but none of us would return again. I would not recommend this place and it is not value for money. Overall, very disappointing.

My second Premier Inn stay of the week and this one wasn’t great either! Checked in and I asked about dinner at the restaurant next door as they looked to be an event on , receptionist said “you’ll have no problems getting a table”. How wrong was she! The restaurant wasn’t taking any more walk-ins , you couldn’t order food and take it back to your room, the bar was overwhelmed by customers, it was chaos! Apparently this event is held several times during the year and it’s the same everytime. Something the hotel really should know about as it’s right on the doorstep. Warn people when they arrive! Room was ok. Could have done with another clean. Dust on the window ledges, bathroom was extremely outdated and needed a real good scrub. Couldn’t really swing a cat it was that small. Good thing though was the king size bed which was big enough for about 4 people. Came down to check out, guy sat in his office and didn’t move. I left the keycard on reception and shouted bye and still no response. He would have seen me as the door to reception from my room was directly looking into the office, just rude from the receptionist.

Check in was awful, they charged the wrong card for payment. When we did finally get to our room we found it was the wrong room with someone else already asleep in it. On getting to the right room which was requested as a interconnecting, the interconncting doors were not unlocked. Rather pointless really. Couldn't book a table for breakfast even though it clearly states tables had to be prebooked. Shower head was mouldy. Hair in the plughole and generally dusty and felt unclean. Over all not a happy experience
